WHY IS EVERYONE SO MAD AT IT? I LOVED IT. IT was really interesting and I loved that the main conflict is between Rinko and Shunpei. They are mad at each other because both believe two different aspects of this situation. The man, the gate is an arsonist suspect but is also in danger. Rinko will lose her job if she does not arrest him but Shunpei wants to protect him. I see one problem. Rinko is for protecting the gates too and I do not think she would be as caught up in it all or put the gate in danger in any way. That makes sense. She is a good support and so is Shunpei.
And they do stray from his character a little but I can see WHY Shunpei does so. He is always in the way, never doing enough. He tried to help and got in the way and caused Rinko to lose the suspect then got in the way more when it is her job. But he is also technically doing what he thinks is right, which is to help Haruto and protects gates. I get it. Yes, he is more aggressive and he is fighting with Rinko but its something new, and something that makes sense to the situation. Rinko and Shunpei are fighting, its a conflict that puts them as the ones who made a mistake, and I like it.
Annnnnnnd can we just point out that Haruto in this episode was very pleasing and ummm shows he HAS A WEAKNESS. Wiseman sucked up his Mana and used it to re-create his Barrier. Haruto asks if Nitou wants tp help, Haruto does not get to Draco Timer IT FAILS, and he RUNS OUT OF MANA. HE DOES NOT HAVE INFINITE MANA. This is something we have all wanted to see. He is leaving it up to Nitou. ANDDD WHAT IS SORA DOING? DO YOU NOTICE HARUTO IS becoming OBSESSED with the questions he wants answered? The Philosopher's stone? NOT EVEN MEDUSA KNOWS WHAT THAT IS BUT NOW HARUTO KNOWS ITS A THING. That is cool, as is the fact that Haruto realizes that he got his mana taken by Wiseman. He also did not get an upgrade or pull any bull.
With everything that is happening, I am intrigued. I like Haruto and I still like Shunpei and Rinko though I am going "NONONO YOU ARE BREAKING THE LAWW OHH NOOO WHAT ARE YOU DOIIIING?" I cannot be mad though, I just feel like it makes sense and even though its ooc its not enough for me to like the characters any less or the show.
I know other people disagree and the main arguments are either " I LIKE THIS" OR "THAT WAS FUCKING STUPID WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO THESE CHARACTERS?!" But I like it! Soooo lets see what happens!
