“It’s said that a wizard lives in the forest. He appears in the mists and disappears as they shift, no more than a silhouette and glowing eyes. Some people say the wizard is cursed to live a life of solitude, others that he is cold-hearted and incapable of love.
“But I, Takashi Shirogane, have found that to be a lie.
“Dubious about what they said about him, I went to the forest to learn who he truly is. He kept himself withdrawn from me, understandably cautious and hesitant to expose himself, but I waited patiently until eventually he made the decision to risk entrusting himself and his identity to me.
