All of the stories of the Choices read like garden of Eden allegory, which tells me Eve and the apple is probably what's considered Earth's Choice. I love the implication that Eve might have been a wizard...

(Assuming I can find them, as I no longer file project notes the way I used to before I started using Scrivener.) (This being one of the reasons I started using it

Anyway, nothing immediately leaps out at me. Meaning either: (a) that exchange was set up as a one-off joke, something bemusing to remind us that (as in real life...) not everything gets explained: or, (b) it was going to mean something later, but that reference has not yet been paid off "on stage".

(In the great extratextual scheme of things, though, [b] is a shade more likely. I often leave myself "trapdoors" in these and other works—events, or references to issues, that aren't resolved in the text at hand, but are meant to be revisited at a later date for some reason.)

My second Wizard candle came in the mail today. The first was called "Wizard's Holiday", by Highland Bluff Studio (on Amazon). I'm trying the different scents and so far, I'm enjoying this one too.

An early test render on the Nita variant for the new Wizard’s Holiday covers: a restatement of the old one with better tech. (Or, correction: some new tech and better understanding of the old.)

Numerous issues to handle here. Galaxy and sky should be bluer. New, much higher HD (4K-ish) image of the galaxy needed (no problem there, thank you NASA, thank you Hubble). Still hunting the right positioning, size and intensity for Nita’s wizardlight. General brightening of the image more toward dusk and away from night.

Still: an okay start. Rendering time on the above: nine hours in Terragen 3. (Nita’s figure was imported from Daz Studio.)

Over the next three or four months I’ll be re-covering all the Young Wizards New Millennium Editions.
