OK I know tumblr ads are weird but why am I getting adverts for a movie that came out in November 2024 in February 2025
started playing cyberpunk 2077
this is me, hot look I know
I'm about 10 hours in. That Johnny is an asshole huh
Soo I just finished s2 of the Good Omens show, so I apologise for the new sudden flood of a new fandom
(blame @absolutelyfibulas , for providing it to me ❤️ and letting me natter at her)
goddammit. I thought after 7 playthroughs and 550 hours in BG3 I was done but the new Gale romance content.... I'm so weak for this fictional nerd I genuinely might be about to put in another 40 hours just so I can see the scenes with my gnome
What drew Damien to Gale? Was there an instant connection between them, or was it more of a gradual build-up? What's his favorite thing(s) about Gale?
Bonus question: Is there anything about his romance that went differently in your canon than it did in-game?
I mean, honestly at first I think he just thinks Gale's hot. But more than that, Gale is one of the only people that's really genuinely spoken to him, in contrast to someone like Astarion that makes multiple comments in game about you being a gnome.
(Astarion and Damien do not get on for a long while)
He likes Gale's sense of humour and his intelligence. He admires his ambition, but uh...obviously that has it's downsides too.
As for different to in-game, I think Damien would be a lot ruder about Mystra than you're allowed to be in game, possibly to the point where it drives them apart at first or at least causes arguments. Eventually they both give in a bit - Gale accepts the relationship was kinda fucky, Damien accepts that she's still an important figure in Gale's life as long as he loves magic.
How is Damien around animals? Is he an animal person, or does he prefer to keep his distance? Are there any exceptions to the rule?
Bonus question: What animal do you think best represents him?
He generally likes animals fine, but he isn't super close to any either. I've played around with the idea of him having a pet bird, but...eh...probably not.
As for the animal to represent him though, definitely a little flashy bird of paradise. Very bird coded.
What is Damien's speech like? Does he have a distinct accent? Or any other notable ways of speaking, like using particular phrases, slang, or terms of endearment?
Bonus question: What does his voice sound like?
hello, I'm sorry, I see you've sent these and I go 'I'll answer these later' then I don't
Damien is very fluent and flowy with his speech - comes with being a bard. It's a bit of a crutch sometimes to cover for insecurity or fear. He can tend to ramble on and make a lot of jokes in situations where it isn't particularly appropriate.
As for what he sounds like...idk, think like 1950s heros in tights in old cheesy movies when he's being brash. Softer when he's with Gale or friends.
