Dance Parties & Spring Time

Afternoon, baby,

Welcome to week 23! I'm told you'll be opening your eyes this week and listening to what's going on out here, which is good news, since we have been talking to you frequently already and don't plan on stopping.

Your dad loves touching my belly, feeling for more movement and searching for the tell-tale bumps that let us know roughly where you are lying.  We both say good morning and good night to you every day. It seems weird, but I guess with all of the ultrasounds and seeing and feeling you wiggle around, I feel more like you are already part of our family now, and not just something we imagine and talk about. I like to dance with you when I am working around the house, and we both frequently (and randomly) break out into song, so I hope we are keeping you as entertained as you are keeping us.

On Saturday this weekend, we decided to go for a nice long walk since the weather was so beautiful.  We went down to Walmart where your dad picked up more Nerf guns. Oh man, are you ever going to have a good time with the plastic & foam arsenal he has collected over the years (when you are old enough, of course!). Getting out in the sun was energizing, and it did wonders for my swollen feet, which have been puffing up a bit more frequently. We are both looking so forward to when we can take you out with us, too, and almost definitely to the park for Nerf wars when you are bigger.  

We also stopped at Co-op along the way, where I saw they had mini watermelons and instantly knew I needed one. After we got back and I chilled it in the fridge, I swear I polished off 1/2 of that sucker throughout the evening. It tasted SO MUCH like summer, baby. While I admit I'm not looking forward to the summer heat, I will say I am enjoying the fact that it finally feels like spring. Spring is one of my favorite times of year and, as much as the sunshine is nice, I love the smell of rain and fresh new greenery growing everywhere. I am just waiting for the first big rain (that isn't freezing) so we can go for a rainy adventure in the park. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Oh wow, I forgot how quickly the weekend go's. Well I had this funny feeling that it would be a crazy weekend  and it most definitely was a crazy weekend. Saturday started off kind of normal. I did not get to sleep in as long as I wanted to though because my dogs would not let me. So I was awake at about 8 on Saturday, then I went to go help some people set up for CATG. I had no problems there we finished that early so I came back home and took about a 9 second nap then it started. Every time I started to do something I was given like 50 other things to do. Well later we went to Jason and Toshia's wedding. That was probably the nicest weeding that I had been to. Once I got back from that I went to bed. Then it was Sunday and I have church all day so not as much time to chill. So yeah, that was my awomeness weekend I had!

Presidents day vacation... (wk23)

Hola to all you people out there. I hope you all enjoyed your day off from school. My day went pretty well actually. I had decided a week ago that I would sleep in today because I really needed the rest so I was so happy that we didn't have any plans what so ever! I was out like a brick till about 9:30/9:45am and was so rested. Now I know that for some of you (Cp3-0 :P) this is nothing at all. I know that you can hibernate till like 4:00pm and not even try. But hey that's you kiddo me I was asleep to around that time and felt good. Now after I finally woke up and brushed my teeth and had breakfast, my uncle Denis nocks on my front door and asked if I could help him out with some food shopping. So I got ready and headed out. We first went to SAMs and I was excited because they always have free samples! I usually go in hungry and come out stuffed! Now this time they did have a lot of samples but there was just one thing wrong... I couldn't eat any of it! Every single sample they had was something I was allergic to. I was upset. I felt like I had been cheated from the goodness of the free food. Anyways enough of me being fat, after we got food at SAMs we headed over to a slaughter house and meat packing place. We got in and it was like they knew we were coming. They had freshly cut bacon,ribs,chicken,goat,rabbit,and so many other types of meat that it almost drove me mad. We joked around with the butcher who was really funny. And then headed home. Now about this time we both were hungry so my uncle opened a bag of chips he had bought from SAMs and handed me one. So we are both eating chips and talking when I notice something. My crazy uncle was driving with his knees! Like literally with his knee for a good half hour. I almost had a heart attack! I think the only reason he put his hand on the wheel was because there was a state trooper in front of us when we started to get near my house but that's it. All in all it was a good day. We had fun, laughed and got what we needed to do done. Until next week! Have nice day.
