I went back and watched the finale because of your recent chapter and I agree with you. I think Obi Wan used the dark side to defeat Vader. He was crazed when he came out of that hole and attacking his chest box was downright dirty. Your writing style is brilliant and I can’t wait to see where you take the fic.
Mmm yeah, Obi Wan looked and fought viciously. Even his saber style changed, (he did the behind the back signature Anakin move) and relied heavily on the force for many attacks against Vader when in the beginning he only used it once. The reason for that is because Jedi don’t use the force unless they absolutely have to but dark side users use it to show off how powerful they are and that is exactly what Obi Wan did when he freed himself.
Their fight generally was delicious and extremely tragic, from Vader’s absolute dominance at the start to Obi Wan’s shocking comeback, but for me there is no other way he could’ve defeated Vader. Especially since “there is no emotion” yet it was emotion that empowered him in his thoughts of Luke and Leia, which is something the dark side feeds off of and is considered not in harmony with the light side.
