Briar and Kimberly met on a case one time, they instantly clicked and became friends. Briar having demon in her, was able to sense the demon that was inside of Kimberly. Not knowing anyones history, Briar didn’t judge Kimberly, she didn’t care that Kimberly came from a vampire line, a demon line or money. She got along great with Dean and the kids. Mini Kimberly Kelsey was a little thing that made her laugh. She realized why she was called Kimberly’s mini me. Kimberly didn’t judge Briar or Briar’s past either. They were just two women who understood things went bump at night, and could always count on each other for a night out with beers. and trouble sometimes.
Briar got word of a case, she knew she needed Kimberly’s help, while Briar had other friends that could easily get this done with her. She was in town, and wanted to spend it with Kimberly. After getting the full lecture from Dean of ‘You better watch her back’ that she always got, they were off on the hunt.
Arriving to the scene, there wasn’t much of it. The house was already in somewhat ruins from a previous fire. Both women figuring that it was to hide something. They went further down the stairs, towards the basement, hearing a thumping noise, they went to investigate. Finding that the waterline was still on, as their flashlight showed the leaky pipe was draining against a bucket. Both women shared a look, before agreeing to go separate path’s but still in each other’s eyesights.
Things happened fast after that, a board fell and landed on Briar, Kimberly used her powers to make it go away, before getting hit herself by one. The fire started, and got more out of control, as Briar tried to fight it out, and get to Kimberly, Hearing the words come from Kimberly, “Go! Get out of here.” Briar will never get out of her head. But hearing a vehicle pull up, Briar thought they could help. She went to try and help Kimberly pull things off of her, but the flame wouldn’t let her get to her. She felt like things were going in a blur, she couldn’t see Kimberly all that well, and the smoke was getting to her. She tried shaking it off, but she felt someone come up behind her and pull her out of the house, screaming towards Kimberly the whole time that someone else was down there.
She tried to get back inside, but everyone kept pulling her away. She was told Kimberly was gone, nothing they could do to save her. She sat down on the ground and watched the place still in flames.
Hearing the Impala pull up, she gulped, normally, She wasn’t scared of Dean, but having to tell him that Kimberly was gone.. was not on her list of things to do. She could hear him come towards her, she could hear the ‘Where’s Kimberly’ questions.. and she started to cry, she shook her head at Dean, “She’s gone.. I’m sorry Dean.. She’s gone.. I tried..”
Dean stared at her, trying to figure out what she said, before he tried running into the building. The rain started and it helped the firefighters battle the fire. Soon it was gone. And then.. there she was.. standing at the doorway, covered in water. “Who died?”
Briar couldn’t help the chuckle and the relief sigh coming from her mouth as she ran with Dean to hug Kimberly.
