Get Bit
The rumors are true. There are dangerous creatures roaming across campus and the only way to protect yourself is garlic. At least, that’s what Professor Van Helsing would have you believe. But “why garlic?” you ask. Because garlic is the only the vegetable that can do an ollie.
Dracula would have you believe that garlic isn’t cool enough to do these kinds of tricks, but don’t believe Dracula. Or do! Come watch Van Helsing versus Dracula in the ultimate showdown, coming to a theater near you!
Thursday, Feb. 9 at 7:30pm
Friday, Feb. 10th at 10:00pm
Saturday, Feb. 11th at 7:30pm
Sunday, Feb. 12th at 2:00pm
If you don’t know what to expect, let me lay it out for you.
1. FANGS
Dracula wouldn’t be Dracula without some pointy teeth.
Don’t worry, he’s not actually going to bite anyone, it’s just acting. Also, yes, our actors had to learn how to talk with a new pair of teeth in their mouths. Not the easiest thing to do.
2. AN INTERNATIONAL VACATION
This play will whisk you away to London,
Transylvania,
and more!
It’s the vacation you never knew you wanted! Fire your travel agent because the theater department’s production of Dracula will teach you everything you need to know about Europe in the 1890s.
3. SECRET TRAP DOORS
The ground will open up at least twice in this show and someone might even walk through a wall. Stay on your toes.
4. LOTS OF BLOOD
All of it fake, some of it edible. We won’t reveal too much here, but you can safely assume that there will be biting and there will be blood:
Blood sucking, blood transfusions and bleeding hearts galore.
TBD on whether the cast recommends the fake blood diet.
5. A BIG SET (ON WHEELS)!
The Keller Theater is undergoing a transformation. Soon, the walls of Dracula’s castle will take over one side of the stage and Renfield’s cell will take over the other. That leaves a giant bed and window sitting in the middle. And it moves. The bed is so comfortable, you could even say it’s to die for.
(Spoiler? Clever foreshadowing? None of the above? Come see to find out!)
Get your ticket soon(!) and get bit. We want your fear.
