i personally agree with the 16+ rating. maybe the first and second seasons are ok for early teens, but not so much the seasons after that. but its really up to you

Yeah, age ratings often exist for a reason. Personally, I never really watched movies or tv that were intended for older audiences as a child (although if you saw what I was reading... oh well). I think plenty of people start TVD a bit younger, but 12/13 is still pretty damn young. I probably wouldn’t have considered it if she hadn’t been the one to show interest.... and her cousin wouldn’t have pointed out to her that Netflix isn’t her only option here. In the end, it’s luckily up to my parents and not me!
