I know I still have to update BtheR but I was on the mood of doing something different
Friends won’t let you down - Part 1?
Before I start writing I want you to know that Breaking the Rules is not on hiatus or anything, it’s just I’ve been a little busy. Sorry for that. QAQ
"Don’t forget to phone your dad to ask him if you and the triplets will stay with him this week." Elinor said, with a voice that wanted to be simpathetic and sweet but it came out as a mere order, while handing her doughter the paper bag with an apple and a sandwich.
"Whatever." Was the only response she got, followed by the sound of the front door being slamed. Merida had had enough of her parents using her as some kind of messenger. Who did they think she was? Hermes? They had been doing it ever since they divorced. The girl sighed and shut her eyes, fighting a few rebelious tears back "If you would just listen to me" she thought. After taking a deep breath she opened them and looked at her phone, 6.45 AM. She still had time to walk to the bus stop to go to school and go on with her miserably common life, but those weren’t the plans.

"Rapunzel. Flower~ You must be back home after shool, remember that. You’re grounded, honey, forever. Och, I’m just kidding, I love you. But you can’t be back late or I will never let you go out again. Not even to go to school. Understood?" Gothel was used to the teasing, it had become a regular thing, it was the only way to make her feel useless and hopeless.
"Yes, Mother." Rapunzel smiled shyly at her mother and looked down, letting her kiss her forehead and stroke her hair, as usual. After closing the door behind her, the blonde held the strap of her shoulder bag tightly and started walking towards the bus stop, then she took a deep breath and started jogging, going faster and faster with every step, until she felt finally free, far enough from home to do whatever she wanted. Rapunzel loved her mother, but she had never felt loved back, all she got from Gothel where sarcastic jokes and reprimands. She looked at her phone: 6.45 AM. Awesome. She had to meet Hiccup at the bus stop, as usual, so she lowered her march and walked with a bright smile on her face. For the first time ever she was completely free.

"God-bye, mom… god-bye Emma…" His eyes met the pictures on the wall, both smiling at him. He smiled back. The boy walked towards the front door picking his backpack up from the floor. After closing the door, Jack made sure that it was well locked and headed to the stairs of the building. Once in the street he just walked and walked, almost not paying any atention to the way he headed: he knew it by heart. His whole life he had spent walking down those streets, first with his mother by his side, then with both his mother and his little sister, and then, just with his sister. Losing Helen had been hard for both of them, but moslty for Emma, she soon got sick and Jack was left alone after a few months. Now he had to go down the road all by himself.
"Alright, let’s do this…" The guy looked at his watch and smiled, 6.45 AM, just in time to walk some more minutes and he’d be there.

"I’m going now, dad. Right now I’m walking down the stairs… and I’m in the front door… and going through it. NOW I’M OUTSIDE. I’M GOING TO SCHOOL NOW, DAD!" Hiccup started yelling after a few times of not being heard by his father, but there was no use. He never seemed to notice him. Always busy with work. And there was no mother he could ask for hugs or love either, so the only way to feel "visible" was to be bullied, which was surprisingly often to be honsest.
With a tired sigh, the boy just held the strap of his backpack tigtly and looked up to the sky, smiling sadly. He was brought back to earth as he heard the purring of his cat, which wasn’t his because his father didn’t allow any pets inside the house, but with time the boy had won the cat’s heart. It was all black and had green eyes, and his left back paw was broken, so he didn’t use it, just like Hiccup’s. The cat missed a few teeth, hence his name: Toothless.
"Hello, lil’ bud. At least you don’t ignore me." The cat meowed once and passed right by him, sitting in a spot where the sunlight warmed the grass. "Thanks…" Hiccup added in a sarcastic tone and started walking towards the bus stop, where he and Rapunzel always met to go to school, except this time they weren’t going to school.
"What time is it?" His voice was low, he was only talking alone, as always. Looking at his watch the boy smiled. 6.45 AM. He was just in time.
