Y'know what gives me the red-ass? People who call for the WNBA's closure, 99% of which just hate women's sports in general. You morons don't have anything to gain from the closure of this great league, except maybe for validation of your manliness. And if you're so insecure in your masculinity that you can't stomach the thought of women playing a sport professionally, then you have bigger problems than the WNBA. NEW YORK, (May 21, 2014) – The Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) tipped off WNBA Pride presented by COVERGIRL, a new national platform celebrating inclusion and equality, while combating anti-LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) bias, it was announced today by WNBA President Laurel J. Richie.
The WBNA has come a long damn way. They used to try to pretend that they didn't have a lesbian fanbase, and that there were no lesbians playing in the league. Now they have WNBA Pride which is not only acknowledging their lgbtq* connection but celebrating it. Way to go WNBA for celebrating inclusion and equality.
