Hi! Love your page! Just wanna ask you something. My draconic sun and rising is Cancer with Taurus moon, my natal sun and rising is Pisces with Aquarius moon. I read on tumblr that draconic is the soul chart and natal is the self chart. Is it true our environment changed the personality hence natal chart appears? Sorry for my English lol it's quite stumbling everywhere
Hey there! 🧡🧡 No worries at all your english is great!! 🧡🧡 The draconic chart has the North Node at 0′ Aries, so to calculate/generate the draconic:
You take: Natal Planet Degrees - Natal North Node degrees = Draconic Planet Degrees
(*a little more complicated than this, but we’ll go through it step by step! Also we’re using absolute zodiac position so no cusps, and here’s how to convert!)
Draconic: How It Came To Be (Calculation/Math) ⬇️
*This is a lesson on how to convert and find your absolute zodiac position, as well as how draconic placements came to be the way it is!
So to find your absolute zodiac position. Say your natal North Node is in Scorpio at 13°09′11 – from 0°00′00 Aries to that Scorpio is 223°09′11
How did that 223° appear?? A full chart is 360° and we have to start at 0°. 0° Aries = 0, 0° Taurus = 30°
So Scorpio who’s 7 signs after 0° is (30*7) – that makes 0° Scorpio (the base line) 210°
And then we plus that 13° degrees (see above: Scorpio 13°)– so that’s 223°
Because Aries doesn’t start 30° right, it starts at 0° – if it was 30*1 Aries 0 would start at 30° instead (it’ll be like teleport)!
Think walking around a track. Aries is the start but if it’s at 30m already it would NOT be at the true starting line. Kinda like that!
And then to calculate for the draconic shift – Aries is 360° (the overall chart) - that Scorpio 223° so 360-223 = 137°
This 137° is the increment of the shift. Because the Draconic chart is talking directly about our Nodal Axis (putting that North Node position into 0° Aries position).
So calculation of the increment – between our Natal North node to our Draconic North Node is useful (maybe even critical)
And now for: how did our draconic placements came to be?
Say you have Pisces natal Sun at 11°50′33
The absolute zodiac position is 341°50′33 ((30*11)+11))
And then add the increment/shift position to of your North-node to it first: 341+ 137
That equals to 478° – when this happens (measurement is above 360° Aries) take away 360° from the unit (so 478-360 = 118°)
And 118° is Cancer draconic Sun (30*3 = 90, 118-90 = 28° give or take depending on the minute degrees as well)
Thus how you get draconic placements! 🧡 Sorry if this was confusing, but this is to point out how the draconic chart is made.
Because the draconic is a chart that is centered around the node (nodal axis) – the nodal axis is used to talk about the ‘soul’ or rather ‘soul/karmic purpose’. You can see– through the calculations, how the increments plays a part in how each draconic placement (and ascendant) plays out.
So yeah! 🧡 This is just– how I understand it as well? 🧡 Through the calculation??
As for the question: ‘Is it true our environment changed the personality, hence natal chart appears?’ – yes technically you can take it that way! 🧡 The natal chart is a thing by itself as well, and the draconic is it’s own thing too. But you can also see how it layers — like say your natal Pisces Sun does ‘this’ as it’s purpose – how does it evoke fulfillment? Through Cancer draconic Sun’s purpose – and that may be how you can look at things if you take this route 🧡

Hey there!! 💜💜 Welcome back aaah!! 💜💜 It’s not a bad thing at all, usually we have empty houses in our charts but what you could gain from it is seeing what your chart shape is like too!! 💜 This is like a bigger picture thing? Y know when people say they’re a bucket-shaped chart, a splash chart, a bundle chart... here’s a chart-shape thing from astro-seek that might be helpful!💜
You can also look at your house rulers, and where you’re gaining influences for those houses itself.. like say your 3rd house ruled by Gemini is empty -- where does your Mercury lie? What sign is it in? What’s the house/context and ruler of that? 💜 Its an interesting subject to get into as well! 💜 There’s so much potential with the houses! 💜
Empty houses aren’t inherently bad, it’s a pool of potential you can dive into and see what information you can dig in from it 💜💜 This is a brief answer, but I hope it’s helpful to you anyways! 💜💜
