we’re not sleeping update 001 ;;

species information :: fairy, halflings, humans, mermaids, reapers, succubi/incubi, vampires, were creatures, witches

species information below the cut.

// fairy

the fae are few and far between on this tour. they hide themselves, glamour themselves. they don't speak about it. they're only here for a bit of fun, a bit of a distraction before flitting back to their homes, if they want to go back at all.

though they don't mention it, you can sometimes tell which ones belong to the fae folk, by their distinct lack of piercings, and by the way they seem to have tattoos, but never visit a parlor. they pretend to be other creatures, to protect themselves and their kind, fae folk are valuable for certain rituals, and you can't be too careful when you're outside.

important: fairy characters are limited, only one per member, and only one for every ten site characters made (made by other members, not every ten of yours)

// halflings

halflings are those who are born of two different species. they have half the power and half the weakness of each of their parents. like say a werewolf and a mermaid have a child, that child wouldn't need water to survive, but would have to be in the water/transformed on full moons.

or if you were born of a vampire father and a human mother, you wouldn't be ageless unless you were fully turned, but you'd still have a sensitivity to light, and have a craving for blood, though you wouldn't need it to survive.

if you have any questions on halflings, just message a member of staff about it. remember, incubi/succubi cannot bond/procreate with anyone touched by death such as a reaper or a vampire unless it's a half vampire, female vampires cannot become pregnant, as their body is undead, and all mermaids are born female. even the halflings.

// humans

humans are as such. humans, mortals, untouched by magic and the supernatural. but that doesn't stop them from trying, from practicing witch rituals, by letting vampires feed from them, from sleeping with the succubi and incubi. others tend to keep to their humanity, others are brought into the supernatural against their will.

humans can become supernatural, but the supernatural cannot become human.

// mermaids

one doesn't expect to see mermaids away from the ocean, but they make it work. of course, they make it work by guzzling down water and taking advantage of the tour's water slide and the hotel pools every chance they get. don't keep them away from a water source for too long, because they will get panicky, and they will get desperate.

mermaids transform once they get back into ocean water, but not freshwater or tap water, although they do sustain them. they're social creatures, clinging to each other and to those they meet, as they are regularly found in pods in the ocean. mermaids are born female.

// reapers

one always feels death in the air, when a reaper is near. at least that's what people say, no one has actually proven it. reapers have lives outside of warning those of death, but the stigma is there. no one wants to hang around a reaper too long, they're too scared that death is going to come for them.

however, please do not harass a reaper on when you're going to die. they won't tell you, and if they do tell you it won't be the truth. they won't know who's dying until it starts to happen, until it's already set in motion and there's nothing to stop it. there is no way to avoid a reaper if they have seen your death.

you must be born a reaper, the reaper trait is dominant so all children from reaper/non reaper would become a reaper, no matter how slight the bloodline. so if your mother was a non practicing reaper and your father was a fully turned vampire, you would be a reaper as well as a half vampire. it just depends on whether or not you act on your reaper abilities

// succubi/incubi

to be frank, succubi and incubi need sex to survive. nothing harmful about it, unless you're a repeat to their actions and haven't bonded with them. if you are unbonded with an incubi or succubi, your life force will be slowly drained the longer you continue with them.

however, if you become bonded with an incubus or succubus, you will be in a mutually beneficial relationship with them, and you will keep each other alive. succubi/incubi cannot bond with those touched by death, i.e. reapers and vampires, however, half vampires are acceptable as they are unforzen in their aging cycle.

// vampires

creatures of the night, the ones who play night shows, no ifs ands or buts about it unless they're wearing full veils or their stage is set indoors. although the halflings (those born of human and vampire parentage) are okay to play underneath heavy shade. 

the longer a vampire has been around, however, the longer they can stand to be in direct sunlight. a vampire under a year old can last a half hour but a vampire who has been around for a 100 years can last up to 6 hours. after that, it starts to burn their skin similar to a sun burn or sun poisoning only ten times worse, increased exposure will lead to spontaneous combustion if left untreated.

the staff are super accommodating to the vamps, because most of them have been around forever. the vampires no longer feed of humans to survive, the staff have an alternative feeding for them (aka true blood/vegan blood (not vegan's blood)). however, if they have a proven consort willing to let a vampire feed off them, then that's fine too.

vampires don't really acknowledge that they had a rivalry with the weres, but they do admit that it is amusing to get them worked up.

// were creatures

loud and proud creatures, always willing to flash their teeth just to make a point. these guys are loyal to their pack, whether it's an actual were pack, or just a bunch of people willing to be familiar with a were creature.

the weres come in a variety of creatures, as well as the popular wolves. it just depends on who bit you, and what you're predetermined for based on where you were born, i.e. people in the mountains are more likely to be bears or wolves, california and florida are wildcats, desert areas are coyotes, etc etc).

they say they're over their rivalry with the vampires, but come on, man. there's always gonna be something the weres are looking for with the vampires.

// witches

you must be born a witch. there is no turning, there is no contract with the devil. the power must already be inside of you. aside from that, they are regular humans, they age, they get ill, they have emotions. they just also have a power to rid themselves of such things, if they desire.

the witch folk do not have rivalries, but they do have boundaries. most never leave the confines of their coven; however there are a few who stray, a few who find power on their own, a few who find power in other creatures. the bigger the coven, the bigger the power without drawing from other's energy.

okay chickadee’s, bad news. the soft opening for wnsrp is going to have to be pushed back a couple of days. aries and i want to make the best site we can for you, and we just need a few more days to make sure everything runs smoothly. right now the current date for the soft opening is going to be monday, april 24th, with the official opening following that friday. thank you so much for being patient with us, and we’re very excited about what’s to come. <3
