i tried for three weeks to count the days i was trapped like an animal  i lost count the same day i realized you were the only thing in this place worth trying to get out.  I’ve been counting the days since he told me you died I’ve been writing them in a notebook thin lines that mark the days and remind me of your arms,  I’d fill a million books, with a million ticks I would write until my fingers bled, until all the ink in what’s left of the world went dry beneath my pen if i even for a second believed these words might make it to you
