Hello, Rotomblr! I am Hohma and I am here with my friends Aliquis, O’hara, Tiffany, and Wendy. We’re all students at Naranja Academy in Paldea!

Anyways, after the success of our video presentation, I got the great idea to expand our horizons by making a Rotomblr account for us! We asked Director Clavell and he said it was ok as long we don’t get too distracted from our studies so here we are! :)

Here’s a lil’ about me: I’m from Alola, I’m 14, a soon-to-be freshman in the fall whose going to be taking High School level courses in the General Studies Track. I’m currently living in the student dorms, I’m apart of the school’s news department… Oh, and my partner is Quaxwell -his name is Quackers! :) That’s it from me, passing it off to you, Aliquis.

Hola, everyone, Aliquis here! I’m 17, this year I’ll be a High School Junior in the General Studies Track. I’m not in any clubs or anything like that but I am just shy of being the Academy’s Top Student. (Unfortunately for me, that spot belongs to Nemona.) I’ve been at the Academy my whole life, I’m the second oldest out of 4 siblings, my moms are Geeta and Rika De Chrystallas -yes those De Chrystallas- Tiffany’s mi hermanita, our older brother (Ewin) is studying at Blueberry while our youngest sister (Poppy) is a member of Paldea’s Elite 4, and my partner is Meowscarada. Her name is Meowzee and she’s the best partner I could ask for. That’s all from me so here you go, lil’ sis.

Hello everyone, my name is O’Hara! Like Tiffany and Hohma, I will also be in my first year of High School and in the General Studies Track. I’m 14 and from Kitakami. I’m a Flutist in our school’s Band Club and my Dad is our Maestro. (His new job as a teacher is actually why we moved to Paldea in the first place, hehe!) A week ago I played my first solo in our schools’ s summer concert, my partner Fuecoco (his name is Fuego) is a silly little guy. I also dorm at the Academy and I’m done so here you go, Wendy.

Yo, what’s up, Rotomblr? Wendolyn here even though I don’t want to be! (No srsly, why am I here?) Since the others gave a speil, guess I’ll give my own. Let’s see…

Unlike the others I’m just a SUMMER student, NOT a full time student. As such I’m taking the school’s General Summer Course while I wait for my dad to pick me up from his job. Besides that, I’m a member of my dad’s group, the Rising Volt Tacklers. I’m also 15, I have 2 dads, I’ve been homeschooled since I was a baby, one of my dads is a Pokémon Professor who specializes in Mystery Research, Flying-Types are my favorite, and my partner, Skye, is a Swablu. Back to you, Hohma.

~Once they didn’t find her for nearly 3 hours because she accidentally fell asleep in her hiding spot

~She has a strained relationship with her fathers, mainly with Friede after he took on Lucca’s job to bring Liko back to Paldea

~After finding out the reason why her dads are yet to pick her up is because of Liko wanting to help Terapagos get to Laqua, Wendy becomes bitter towards her and Roy as she believes its their fault she was abandoned in Paldea (but is especially bitter towards Liko)

~She sulked for a few days after Friede left to go get Liko but after talking it out, Lucca helped her see it as her getting to go on her own adventure without adult supervision (this may or may not have backfired on Lucca)

~Friede caught Skye for her when she was 6 after they helped a little Swablu with an injured wing that was hiding on the ship

~She has seasonal allergies that can be easily triggered if she isn’t careful

~Before finding out ‘the truth’ she would call with her dads to keep up with them, now just occasionally calls Dot to ask how things are (Though her relationship with said streamer is now strained as well)

~Despite the above, she still keeps up with Nidothing’s channel

~Her favorite foods are: Strawberry Tarts and Matcha Macarons

Um, I’ve-I’ve lived in P-Pa-Paldea my whole life, s-since my moms are Gee-Geeta (my Mama) and Ri-Rika (my Ma) and stuff, s-so I’ve always gone to Na-Nara-Naranja Academy… B-But thi-this year will be better! I think.., I ha-have friends now, a-an-and I’m go-going to take part in thi-this years League! (I ha-have to get stronger…t-to help Mama a-after the accident…!) L-Last year -or m-more like my who-while life, r-r-really- I’ve always ju-ju-just ke-ke-kept to myself and never really ha-ha-ha-had any f-f-f-frie-friends, e-e-except for Tru-Tryffles and A-A-Aliquis of course! So like I was just in class, trying not to fall asleep when I felt something wet in my pocket which is weird since I only had my apple in it. Well turns out my apple exploded?! Winds Of Adventure On Our Horizons- Ch 1.0~ Starting The Day

(*note: the first Arc in WOAOOH takes place BEDFORE the RP so if anyone has questions about Opening Winds, they can ask and the characters will answer in the past tense/as it already happened.)

{Director Clavell tasks O’Hara, Aliquis, Hohma, and Tiffany with making a video over the break for the coming school year. He also tasks them with helping a new student settle in.}

“You asked to see us, Director Clavell?“ O’Hara asked as she, Aliquis, Hohma, and Tiffany trooped into the Director’s office. Director Clavell looked up from his desk, hands folded neatly in front of him with a warm smile on his face. “Ah, yes, thank you all for coming in so promptly -especially during your break. I know you students tend to scatter like the wind the moment the bell rings,” Clavell chuckled softly. “But I assure you, this matter is one of both importance and excitement.”

“Excitement? How?” Hohma echoed curiously. “I was just getting to that, Mr. Sullivan,” Director Clavell chided lightly. “Now, the reason I called you all here into my office is because I have here a small task for the four of you -one that I believe will showcase your unique talents and perhaps even help you all grow a little along the way,” he began. “Though perhaps ‘small’ is putting it lightly since it is technically two requests in one,” the Director went on. “For starters, the Academy is in need of a new promotional video for the upcoming school year, and I’ve chosen you four to create it!”

“E-Even me…? N-No, no gra-gracias…”

“But I have Band Club! A-And the concert…!”

“I’m busy with the school paper!”

“And I’m busy training for-!”

Clavell raised a hand. Everyone quieted down.

“I understand that you are all very busy with your own thing over the break but I’ve seen how you all are. You’re all uniquely talented in your own ways -yes, even you, Ms. De Chrystallas- and this will be an excellent opportunity to show prospective students the diverse voices here at Naranja Academy,” Director Clavell continued. Aliquis crossed his arms and gave a light scoff. “No offense, Director, but there are tons of  other students staying over the break with better… personalities,” he gave Hohma a glance and though it wasn’t directed at her, Tiffany shrunk back.

“Hey! I’ll have you know that I have plenty of personality,” Hohma swatted at the older boy’s arm indignantly. Clavell chuckled, unbothered. “That is exactly my point, Aliquis. It is precisely the fact that the four of you represent different sides of our student body why I believe you are all capable of capturing the spirit of our beloved Naranja perfectly,”

”I guess that makes sense, but you said that there were technically two tasks. If us making the video is the first, then what’s the second?” Hohma pointed out.

Director Clavell gave a slight nod, reaching for a small folder on his desk and opening it with care. “Yes, thank you, Mr. Sullivan. The second task is just as important and dare I say even more so, depending on how you look at it.”

He turned the folder around so the four could glimpse the file inside -at the top was a photo of a girl with wild, windswept hair; a rumpled, dirty Altaria hoodie; and a wide, confident grin.

“This,” -Director Clavell tapped the photo- “is Ms. Wendolyn Cedar. She is a new student who will be joining us this summer session under rather… unique circumstances.

“She has spent most of her life homeschooled while accompanying her father on his travels. Given recent developments, she’s been temporarily entrusted to the care of a family friend but her father requested she be enrolled with us for the summer,”

The Director’s expression shifted slightly, though his tone remained steady. “However... Ms. Cedar is quite -how do I put this?” He paused then cleared his throat. “Shall we say, spirited, in her endeavors.”

The four in front of him exchanged puzzled glances.

“Sp-Spirited?” Tiffany repeated with a grimace, raising an eyebrow.

Clavell gave a slight smile. “Yes, Ms. Cedar, though undoubtedly a bright girl, has a tendency to get herself into mischief quite easily. She’s very independent and has a rather bold personality, which is why I’m asking for your help. I’m assigning you all to look after her, help her acclimate to life here, and make sure she’s well-settled during her time at Naranja.

“Think of it as mentorship or peer guidance. And who knows -perhaps she’ll bring something valuable to your project as well.” He leaned back in his chair. “So, what do you all say?”

Silence, then-

 “So we’re essentially filmmakers and babysitters now?” Aliquis sighed, a scowl already on his face.

Clavell smiled mildly. “I would prefer for you to think of it as mentorship, Mr. De Chrystallas, rather than ‘babysitting’ as you put it,” Aliquis flushed slightly at the Director's words but nodded nonetheless. “Besides, it never hurts to broaden your horizons.” Clavell added “And as future leaders of tomorrow, I think you’ll find the experience more rewarding than you expect.”

Night Talk~ Before Everything 3/?

Later that night, Friede and Murdock talk.

They stood in companionable silence for a few minutes. Just him and Friede. The wind was light, and the night calm. Above them, the stars blinked above like far-off lanterns, and the warm night air carried the faintest scent of sea salt and leftover potato salad.

Murdock leaned against the railing, his arms folded loosely with a mug of lukewarm tea in one hand. He didn’t drink it -he’d forgotten he was even holding it, really. He was just watching the sky, with his husband.

“She had three bowls of soup today, during dinner.” Murdock broke the silence, a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. “And most of the fruit salad. I think Ludlow only got some grapes and berries in before she swiped it.” Friede huffed out a laugh.

”The girl’s a machine. Pretty sure she could beat me in an eating contest now.”

“You say that like she hasn’t already.”

“…Fair point,”

The stars stretched above them, endless and quiet as they fell into comfortable silence once more.

“She told me… She told me she loved it here,” Friede said eventually. Murdock caught the way his voice was lighter than usual and how it trembled just a little as he took a sip of his tea. The chef nodded. “She told me that once too. After Dot helped her set up that bookshelf in her room. Said it felt like hers.”

“That’s all I’ve ever wanted for her,” Friede said quietly, leaning on the rail beside him. “Not just food and a bed, y’know? I wanted her to know -like really know- that she belongs here. That she’s safe.”

Murdock’s free hand found Friede’s without looking, their fingers lacing together naturally. “She knows,” Murdock said. “You saw it in her face today. You see it every time she calls you ‘Dad’ like it’s the easiest word in the world.”

They fell into silence again.

They stood like that for a long while. Hands held. Shoulders brushing. No pressure to fill the silence.

Then Murdock chuckled softly. “Remember when she was little and refused to eat anything green unless you pretended it was a tree?” Friede groaned. “Don’t remind me. I had to literally learn origami to fold that dang spinach wrap into a Starly. For thirty straight lunches!”

“She still talks about it like you hung the moon.”

“Maybe I did, then,” Friede said with a smirk. “At least just a little. For her.” Murdock’s thumb brushed gently over Friede’s knuckles. “We still do. And always will,”

They didn’t say I love you out loud. They didn’t have to.

The stars heard it anyway.
