1. What was the happiest moment of your life?
Probably when my mother took me in for an emergency appendectomy. *pauses* Now, that you have been given a moment to reconsider this post, let me explain. I was in terrible pain. Granted, nobody likes being told they have appendicitis at the age of 10, and at 1:30 AM no less. It's even more intimidating when you are given no choice but to have a sudden surgery on an organ you didn't even knew existed before that trip to the ER. But, when the other option is death, surgery is a breeze. I was never more excited than the morning I awoke after the surgery.
2. What are you most proud of?
I think I am most proud of how well-mannered I turned out compared to most of my peers in my area. It's a smaller town, and I know that everybody has a different story, but for some reason myself and a group of my friends are the only one who realize that everybody is human and deserves to be treated like one.
3. What are the most important lessons you've learned in life?
A) Don't let anyone tell you that you can't. It is such a negative thing to say, and is really unrealistic. If you want to, you should reach for the stars and beyond!
B) If you stay positive, karma will most likely be in your favor. Focus on the positives and be a decent human being and you can't go wrong.
C) Be true to yourself! Don't let anyone make you feel bad about yourself because of your personality.
4. What is your earliest memory?
Once upon a time at the fresh age of 3 years old, your humble narrator was sitting innocently by the bathroom door. I was running my hand over the hinge side for a reason known only to her 3 year old brain. Out of nowhere, a sudden 6 month old sister appeared! She used "slam door on sister's hand"! It was very effective! Long story short, I lost my pinky nail and had a fear of bathroom's for a good 3 years. Ah, siblings.
5. How would you like to be remembered?
I'd like to be remembered as "The girl who smiled." Sounds a tad Doctor Who-esque :) I want people to remember me as the one who smiled for others, to reassure them that the universe unfolds as it should, and everything will turn out fine. (even if she isn't feeling too confident.) I don't exactly want people to feel a sense of false hope, but rather a silver lining in every cloud.
6. What are the funniest or most embarrassing stories your family tells about you?
My sister likes to remind me every now and then that at the grand ole age of 5, my cousin and I dressed up like princesses. As we were walking downstairs, I was presenting myself and I step in a huge plate food that belonged to my uncle if I remember correctly. I felt like an idiot.
7. If you could hold onto just one memory from your life forever, what would that be?
Oooh...The family trip I took a few years ago to the Great Wolf Lodge in Washington. It was one of the times we felt really bonded and had fun. Our aunt, uncle and cousins went with us and that equaled some kind of chaos :)
8. If you have one, that song that got you through something.
I had more of a mix than anything :) It consisted mainly of Lana Del Rey's Born to Die album. It shows that there is a beauty that can cancel out pain and loneliness, and make the world seem more lovely. Ludovico Einaudi's "Divenire at the Palazzo te Mantova" made me realize that classical music makes everything seem lovlier. On the side, I'd like to note Jessie J's "Do it like a dude" (major ass-kicking song!), and Billy Joel's "Piano Man". (I just can't with him") I recommend all of these.
9. If this was our very last conversation, what words of wisdom would you want to pass on to me?
Never let go of who you are, despite what others may say or think. They don't OWN you. You are allowed to feel how you want and like what you want. Conformity bothers me, because the norm is so..normal! Have your own adventure and live your life to YOUR fullest! Those snotty, two faced hecklers who degrade you because of your preferences have no idea what it's like to be themselves. If you want to dye your hair TARDIS blue, wear steampunk clothing and sing, YOU SHOULD DAMN WELL DO IT. As an ex-citizen of Portland, Oregon, I am going to give you advice we give everyone: Embrace the weird:)
10. How has your life been different than what you'd imagined?
High School isn't nearly as crazy as it is in movies. (On that note, I'd like to point out: WE DO NOT HAVE FOOD FIGHTS. I HAVE BEEN LIED TO. MY AGONY *cries*) The responsibility of having to lead your own life is still intimidating, but it's not nearly as scary as it was 5 years ago.
11. Do you have any favorite stories from your childhood?
It is a four winning tie: "The Wild Swans", "The Book of Esther" (from the Bible),"Hans Christian Anderson's The Little Mermaid", and "The Giving Tree". :) All heart warming to a point. (Okay, the last two made me cry, but still.)
My Questions:
1. Why did you decide to get a Tumblr?
2. Do you think that there is a difference between happiness and joy?
3. What kind of effect do you want to leave on the EArth?
4. What is your proudest RAOK? If none, what's one you would like to do?
5. What is the most valuable lesson you have learned from a TV show?
6. What is a quote that has inspired you daily?
7. What is something you would tell your 10 year old self?
8. What are the top 3 goals on your bucket list?
9. Why do/don't you like the last song you heard on the radio/your iPod?
10. What 16 fictional characters would you like to see in the Big Brother house? (If you haven't seen Big Brother, I encourage it! Well, at least season 8 of the American version. It's..wow)
