WoFtober Day 16: firescales and/or fireless
whoops i died on yall there for a few days. i have nothing to say.
Under the cut is OC lore that I yap about for too long. I should talk about my OCs more often. It fuels me.
Anyways OC lore! Keep in mind they’re like, background characters to me, so they’re not that developed.
The SkyWing is Chickadee. They are a firescales officially, and a “sunscales” not officially. I decided to make up a triplet firescale because I could. Maybe they shouldn’t even be alive and died under their own power, but it’s my OC. I make the rules. Also they’re blue because of how high their temperature is. They’re like, really bright, but I don’t have the skills necessary to pull it off.
The “SilkWing” is Cinnabar, diminutive of Cinnabarite. They are a flamesilk and the caretaker/adoptive parent of Chickadee. In my mind, if a flamesilk could make silk that burns through stone, they can touch firescales.
The two are at a volcano, since I’m thinking Chickadee’s parents didn’t know where to keep their child of around 2500°C to 3000°C (4532°F to 5432°F). I have realized their story is so underdeveloped because I know Cinnabar would not keep Chickadee at the volcano, but idk where they would go afterwards. Research is needed.
Also my OCs don’t take place in the current timeline of canon. They never do.
Also I know there’s a canon SilkWing named Cinnabar. My counterpoint is that I don’t care. Reusing names is not something Tui cares about avoiding in canon, so why should I care about avoiding it in my not canon?
[Image description: A digital drawing of my silkwing oc Firefly on a beige and orange background. Firefly is drawn from the shoulders up and facing to the left with a small grin on her face. She has long curved horns and antenna, they are orange and fade into a light beige. Firefly has green eyes, turquoise scales with white dots on them and a pale yellow underbelly, the scales along her spine are a bright orange with white outlines. End of image description]
Note: Not to be confused with Dusky’s adoptive guardian, this Whitespeck was a flamesilk trapped in the flamesilk cavern. Since I didn’t want to re-use designs, I did my own thing with this one.
