New Wings of Fire fanart, I wanted to redraw and maybe redesign the queens for my wof au set in the future.
Queen Shadowspeaker is known for her beauty and the fact she is the first Nightwing Queen in generations to make a big push for the Nightwing tribes relocation, sending out a scout in search of a suitable place for the Nightwings to move to. The Queen holds her tribes gifts in high regard despite lacking any herself, she runs a campaign throughout her kingdom encouraging Nightwings to plan ahead so that their eggs hatch on full moons.
Shadowspeaker has strong relationships with the other Queens but has the strongest with Toucan.
Shadowspeaker's horns are large and elegant, twisting as heavy silver moon pendants drip off of them, making her look dangerous and elegant like the horns and pendants woild weigh her down. Blood red and pink scales make it so that she can blend in in the darkness or stand out when she wants to.
Queen Toucan is very opinionated dragon but she doesn't make her opinions known very often, she prefers to stay out of the spotlight, quietly doing her own thing alongside Shadowspeaker and out the other tribes way. Because of this most of the other Queens don't think much of her or her tribe and Toucan likes it that way, keeping her kingdom peaceful and strong whilst everyone but Shadowspeaker thinks they have little power.
Toucan's design changed allot from her old design, now being more striking to represent her strength with markings and colours based off the animals she is named after. She is sleek and beautiful as a Rainwings should be, wearing now Jewlerry so she can easily disappear into the background.
Queen Alabaster is a divisive Queen in her own kingdom, Alabaster's father was an Icewing of the lowest of the low class. She did not gain her tital of Queen through defeating her mother but instead by being given the title. Many high class Icewings see her as not deserving of the title but lower class Icewings adore her, seeing her existence as a breaking down the class barriers. Alabaster unfortunately has many other Royal family members unrelated to her father quietly planning to take the spot as Queen for themselves or their family members. Alabaster is aware of this and isn't seen much outside of the palace, apart from her semi regular expeditions to see her father on the outer edges of the kingdom.
Unlike most royal Icewings Queen Alabaster has yellowish marking stretches across her scales to reprisent her father's heritage as a lower class Icewings living near the border. She wears a heavy crown weighing her down with the weight of her responsibilities.
Queen Jasper is one of the oldest Queens, known for her wild and bright personality, constantly throwing parties that anyone is always invited to. Other Queens see her as weak, not taking her seriously due to her playful nature but Jasper is a very strong Queen, adept in combat, she just prefers a good party and doesn't mind being underestimated. She is freinds with the new Sandwing Queen, seeing potential in the young dragon and offering aid when needed.
Queen Jaspers design is inspired by Jesters so that she stands out wherever she goes with brightly coloured scales and even bells on her ears so that everyone knows when she enters a room. Jasper cares little for practicly, only for what is the most fun to wear.
