You know, I wish Breath of Evil (Othermind) was a...real villain. Like villain that is a sentient plant that controls dragons and tortures them, because he's so jealous of their lives...... I think I'd find that villain hot hmhmm

Villains in Wings of Fire Pt.2

So now we get onto some of the big boys. Morrowseer: He’s fine, he’s very easy to hate, and over all he’s a good villain. The only criticism I have isn’t really towards him as a character but more as to how he effected other characters. How were the False Dragonets of Destiny effected by him and his abuse? Stuff like that. Queen Wasp: Honestly, she’s super forgettable. She’s not as interesting as the other villains. Scarlet is a cruel lover of violence and she’s really theatrical which makes her fun to read. Darkstalker is charming. Morrowseer is a manipulative dragon and is interesting because he only shows up when he really needs to and is not above violence. Queen Wasp... doesn’t have charm, she’s not theatrical, she’s never seen outside of being the henchdragon to the Othermind and all we see is that she’s basically just another super evil freedom hating villain which we’ve already seen in the fantasy genre a thousand times. The Othermind: I want preface this with saying that I haven’t read the Dangerous Gift and Flames of Hope yet. However, from what I know, it is actually two beings, Freedom (aka Lizard) and Cottonmouth, a human. All I can say is that the Othermind should have been the villain from the beginning. It got barely any build up which is pretty disappointing because the Othermind is a quite an interesting and unique villain, and Freedom being the one to give up her life so that it can all die is sad and she should have been given more page time. So with that, we get onto the minor antagonists. Hawthorne: It’s the same as all these guys, he’s an interesting antagonist but he certainly wasn’t given the time he needed to be go further. Crocodile: She is really interesting, we don’t even get any kind of Mudwing antagonist. She honestly shouldn’t have died in The Lost Heir because she just didn’t get the time she needed to be a proper antagonist. Vulture: Same as Crocodile. He should have been given more time to be a proper and threatening antagonist. Cobra and Qibli’s siblings: Same as Vulture. They should have been given more time to be proper, threatening antagonists. I think Cobra would have made a great antagonist if she had been given the time she needed to become a character. Fierceteeth and her posse: They should have been given more time as antagonists. Fierceteeth and Strongwings should have been given more time. Preyhunter, I think should have been given more time to be a proper character because he seemed like someone people could sympathize with but he wasn’t given the time he needed before he was killed by Thorn. He could have been a good protagonist since it seems he has a more vulnerable side to himself that could have been explored.
