I'm sure your cloak/dress is occasionally damaged from combat, but I never see any signs of it.
If you repair it yourself (and if you don't, who does?):
Do you use silk, and do you dye it red to match?
If you dye it, where to you get the dye?
Where do you get the silk, or do you use your own?
Where/who from did you learn to sew fabric repairs?
do you sew much else, like making plushies, maybe?
That is quite a few questions, so here are the few answers:
Yes, my cloak is primarily composed of silk. I weave it to repair it.
I have a roll of pre-dyed silk to properly match the color, although sometimes it is the wrong shade. If you look closely, there may be uneven patches of color. ...I am not proud of it, but it's the best I can do.
I get my dye from any plants I am familiar with around the area.
And yes, I use my own silk.
I learned to sew from a seamstress in the Hive, as well as a few in the White Palace.
I used to make plushies, yes, but also scarves and hats when I have the time to.
Dearest Grey Ghost,
After everything that has transpired, do you remain confined to the Mist and your Organ? Or has your cage been turned even more into your home that you had already made it, in that you can now depart, travel, and return?
Wishing you all the best,
A distant observer
(ooc: NOT the silvery observer some of you may think of. This is meant to be more like if one of us actually managed to send a physical letter)
Theoretically I could leave at any time I wish. The moment those black threads perished from this kingdom, my sentence ended. Spider and I hath even discussed the possibility of settling in Bellhart.
...However, I wish not to leave. Perhaps it is madness, perhaps it is simply the result of my own attempts to make my exile as close to comfortable as it can come. This expansive Organ and all her contents have seemingly transformed as ages have passed. She's gone from a confining, cold prison to a welcoming, warm home. After all—she's the single thing that has remained at my side for every second of my exile.
I may travel as far my shell allows, but the Exhaust Organ will forever be my home.

I love the fact that the song that Lace is humming before you fight her in the Deep Docks is almost the same song that plays when you fight gms. Excellent.
have you seen the stars? I've heard that if you climb high enough above the Citadel, there's an old abandoned settlement in a vast plain of sand where you can see something other than the roof of a cave above you. Stars... It sounds almost like a fairy tale. You've traveled the furthest reaches of Pharloom, have you traveled there? Is it true?
I have seen. I have seen and I have traveled. So many things but yet I have not seen the settlement you speak of.
But I have seen stars. So many small specks of light against everlasting darkness.
It reminds me of the rain in the City of Tears, a place of my childhood. In a way, they all are light. The drops of water reflect the light, while the stars are light themselves.
It's beautiful.
if you were to every meet a musically inclined, but inexperienced bug, would you consider giving them a lesson or two, for the basics?
(ooc: genuinely just a random question that popped into my head, not trying to start anything 👍)
I believe it would depend on quite a few factors…if they were an ally of mine or offered some form of compensation, certainly! Music is a vast medium but a difficult one to understand. I would absolutely find satisfaction in allowing others to understand it in such a way.
