A PSA FOR PHARLOOMBLR, AND A PSA FOR MY MUTUALS AND FOLLOWERS
(I'm also pretty sure this is going to slowly evolve into a regular intro pinned post)
For my mutuals and followers:
If you didn’t see my other post about it, I decided to start reblogging everything to my reblog blog. I haaavve had it for a while, and it worked out fine for a bit, where I would put the less important reblogs there and the things I liked better here, but eventually I ended up reblogging everything to here again. So now I’ve put my foot down and I’m fully switching to reblogging everything to that blog. If you want to see all that, which I imagine is what a portion of you have followed me for, that blog is @wofs117reblogs .
What’s going to go here now, though? Nothing? Nope. Now that it’s going to be more clear, I’ll be putting more of my own posts in here, as well as interacting others’ posts. Eventually I’ll even get myself to set up that dang intro post I’ve been procrastinating for so long.
For Pharloomblr/hk roleplayers, and one tag I use: (under the cut, has been updated*)
I realized I should probably explain this when I accidentally confused Grey (Hornet’s mod) about who I was talking to (Hornet or Grey).
This is my main blog, yes. And I do interact with people as myself quite often. However, I also like to engage in the odd spot of roleplaying. What I’ve got in my head to have it make sense is this:
When I’m interacting with a roleplay blog, or interacting with a reblog chain with in-character rp blogs present, I am in character unless otherwise specified. Any other time, I’m not playing a character.
Now what do I mean by ‘in character’?
The simple answer is that I’m roleplaying myself, without defined character traits or a name or anything. To be more specific but a bit more complicated, I don’t really have a specific character that I’m playing, it’s more of just. Me but in the hk universe. I’ll change a bit to fit whatever interaction I want to create if I have to, I don’t really do archive tags, and there aren’t any gimmicks or quirks I stick to. I’m me :)
But when am I out of character?
*updated part:
I’ll always specify when i’m out of character if not doing so would mean I’m in character. Whenever I say something out of character, it'll be after everything in character (unless the effect of something in character would be better if it came after the our of character outdoor), and I'll always mark it by preceding it with “OOC:” (with whatever capitalization autocorrect gives me). For longer out of character bits, I’ll have (parenthesis) around the Ooc and the out of character text. I’ll also use the parenthesis like this whenever I have in character text after the Ooc bit. If there's a chain of multiple entirely out if character posts, I'll probably only put "ooc:" at the beginning of the first few, until I decide the chain probably isn't going back in character. In situations where it does go back in character, I'll put "in character:" before the in character parts.
If anyone has any questions, send me an ask! If I get the same/similar questions enough I’ll add them and the answer here.
(Also of note, this is not really an rp blog. I rp from here, but that’s not its main purpose. As such, for the purposes of tagging whether or not your rp blog is interacting with another rp blog or not, this is not an rp blog.)
The tag I'm putting here:
"#secondary pinned" - any posts I would have pinned if there wasn't something I find more important to pin. Secondary pinned.
Dad's been talking about how he wants to get a tortoiseshell, and Mom found a tortoiseshell kitten on Facebook, that's 40 minutes away. She's gonna go meet her today (I think) and the last time she went to meet a kitten she brought him and his sister back with her. So
Knowing that trans women of color started the movement in the united states and were literally immediately erased and excluded from what they started is the most deeply jading knowledge.
It is the original sin of the so-called queer community and it damns it from the cradle.
Without Stonewall, without the efforts of Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, the LGBTQ Community wouldn’t be where it is today. Don’t forget the roots, don’t forget the catalyst.
and then TERFs wanna be like, “hmm well the LGBT community existed before Stonewall!”
but like…Becky, of course LGBTQ+ people existed before Stonewall. We’ve all existed since the beginning of time. But the movement got a shock to its senses, a jump-start, a rocket-into-space when that glass shattered via Marsha P. Johnson, and when Sylvia Rivera was up on-stage protesting guess who was on the sidelines heckling her?
The same fuckers who won’t ever reblog or acknowledge this
My apologies to the original poster as I photo captured this post to add to the thread-I reposted this last year for pride and expect to repost it every year I have left-it’s our history people.
Marsha P. Johnson allegedly died of suicide in 1992, and her death was never investigated. Even I, a mere prole, could catch the “she was murdered” vibes from the circumstances surrounding the discovery of her body.
Without a trans black woman, LGBT+ rights would not exist. Never forget. Never “pay it no mind”.
to any of my followers who aren't on the pervert transbian side of tumblr: please, if you do anything, kill the protestant puritan inside of you. you need to accept that people will have kinks you do not like and that your disgust is not moral righteousness.
you must accept that people will have kinks that disgust you and you must come to this same understanding.
most of all, you must come to the understanding that the attraction a person experiences is not proof of some "original sin" that lies inside of them and makes them an irredeemable human. not only because accusations like this have been used as thinly-veiled excuses to lynch brown people/queer people/name a minority group here since literal antiquity, but because you as a leftist should not look at someone who likes lolisho or r*pe kink and suddenly decide that certain people DO NOT deserve human rights
and if you get nothing out of this, at least internalize that fiction is not reality
and also understand that many people have had their accounts banned from this site dozens of times for such crimes as... disagreeing with US imperialism. being brown. quite literally just being transfem. if you care at all about trans women, make a stink about this and do something to help your sisters
