sióg mac tíre. 🐺✨
"I don't understand what this means." When Ruby came back to Tinkerbell's table the fairy was holding up the bill and looking at it curiously. "Can you explain these numbers to me?"
"I forgot you weren't here before." It wasn't the first time the woman had been in the diner, but the first time she'd been there alone. "You don't have to worry about it. I'll square it up with Granny."
"I want to learn. This is my world now." She looked so ernest that Ruby had to smile.
"I'm off in a few minutes. Why don't I get you another coffee and when I'm done I can give you a lesson about how things work around here?" Though she wasn't sure how good she'd been at teaching. It wasn't anything she'd learned herself, it was simply something she knew.
"Can I have one of those pastries instead? The ones with the pretty colored dust on top?"
"One doughnut, coming right up." It was slow enough in the diner that when she brought the treat she was able to sit down with her own cup of coffee and her tip money. "We ready to start?"
"Anytime you are, Ruby." Tink smiled. "Thank you."
