If say the clans caught them as a human then they’d be weirded out/scared/upset but Ivan imagine most of them coming to accept it. It’s just another weird thing about Ingoand they’ve heard stories about Pokémon turning into humans and vice versa so… 🤷‍♀️ Melli would probably claim any victory Ingo or the MC had over him doesn’t count because they’re Pokémon themselves, y’know, cuz he’s a bitch like that

If it was the Galaxy team?? Well… it’d be a different story. I fully agree certain members like Zizu, Laventon, and Rei would be able to accept it but Kamado?? No. Rei and Ingo would have to exile themselves for their own safety.

If anything, the clans would think it was the reason Ingo and Rei were so good with pokemon in the first place. (Assuming they didn’t think to ask if Ingo has always been a wolf walker.)

Stories of people being close to pokemon/becoming pokemon aren’t that crazy, so the idea of there being people who become pokemon ing their sleep seems perfectly reasonable! We have hundreds of irl fairy tales of people becoming monsters/animals, it’s not hard to imagine that they have those stories too!

And Meili would absolutely use Rei and Ingo being wolf walkers to justify him being amazing/better despite losing to them. (Rei just rolls his eyes and goes “Sure, that’s why.” and moves on with his day.)

As for the Galaxy team, I agree that Laventon and Akari would accept it just fine! Laventon would probably also ask as many questions about what being a wolf walker meant/how their powers worked/what they could do with their powers etc. Cyllene would probably take it decently well, after thoroughly grilling Rei on everything he could do.

Not as sure about Zisu, but that’s mostly because I’ve never interacted with her enough to really get a feel for her personality. (Pesselle might like it though, bc healing magic.)

Kamado or Beni however? Yeah, both Ingo and Rei would bail.

Those two are scary. And don’t seem to take the “unknown” very well. So it would probably be one of those “best not to deal with it at all” scenarios. Better to ditch than be on the receiving end of whatever reaction those two would have.

Ingo looks way to agressive in this ^^' in my defense for most of my concious drawing efforts I drew almost only anime girls drawing pokemon is kind of branching out for me hope im not bothering have a nice day/night I cant know when you will read it

Lol pokewalker au Calaba sees a pup and a newly changed walker struggling to figure out Thai whole walker thing and bodily drags both Ingo and Rei into a tent every few days for lessons. She has her pack spying in them as they go about their business at night and basically adopts the two into her pack so they don’t accidentally ruin everything

Emmet would be ecstatic to learn about wolf walkers!! Even if the way he learned wasn’t so great because it means Ingo was hurting himself and lying to Emmet about it and that he didn’t trust him, he’d be very accepting of it! After all Zoroark can look like a human why can’t a human turn into a Pokémon, it’s not uncommon. He asks if the two have ever considered battle ring in their Pokémon forms and when both kinda shakes their heads he practically vibrates with the thought of teaching his brother and newly adopted nephew/niece how to use their Pokémon forms to battle

Rei has probably never tried to battle as a wolf, he mostly just got the hell out of dodge whenever a fight showed up. The local pokemon were never very strong, but he just preferred to stay out of trouble. Especially since there was a risk of trainers showing up if the fights got too rowdy.

But, I’m sure with some encouraging from Emmet and Ingo, he’d probably be down to give it a go!

Also, since I’ve said their wolf forms are like a mix of Zacian and Zamazenta, their typing leans towards which ever one they resemble more. Rei looks a bit more like Zacian, so he’s a fairy type! Ingo’s wolf form is more like Zamazenta, so his is a fighting type. That, or they have both types (Fairy and Fighting) but the “main” type is decided by which they resemble more.

I think the hardest part for all of them would be figuring out what their moves even are.

(Based on what I looked up, Zacian and Zamazenta seem to have almost the exact same movesets/learnable moves by level. Which I thought was interesting! Also, there are no Fairy/Fighting pokemon.)

Oooooooh! Just had a thought about your Wolfwalkers AU while reading the posts about there possibly being wolfwalkers in the Clans, what if Calaba was one? Dunno how that would fit into the AU at all, but she just feels like she would be the most fitting character for it haha

Of course that would be an AWKWARD first meeting between her and Rei- and then I feel like she would just go "Child. Pup. What did you do." the second she sees Ingo after the unintentional bite and sees that he's a wolfwalker now too

Actually, I think Calaba would be a really good candidate for a Pearl Clan wolf walker! Or someone who might have heard of them before. At the very least, she fits as someone who would take the idea of them pretty well.

Wise Elder wolf trying to keep an eye on the cubs around her. (She probably also just, outright tells the other members of the Pearl clan that Rei is like her,)

As for learning Rei accidentally made Ingo one...

The idea that she talks to him like he’s a puppy who did something naughty, I love it so much. Rei would probably start doing the little whines/whimpers that dogs and puppies do when they’re in trouble and they know it.

She gets that he didn’t do it on purpose, but still.

I can see a Pearl wolfwalker suddenly wondering why Ingo is one and that’s how it gets out, to the other wolf walkers at least, that young Rei was a wolfwalker cub that was sadly abandoned/orphaned and that, in his haste to save Ingo from the Pokémon, he’d accidentally bitten him. Accidents happen and Rei did his part in owning up to the mistake so no harm no foul. At least it was that weirdo Ingo who is very accepting of Pokémon who got turned and not someone more volatile!

Yeah, that’s probably how it would go!

They’d be chill about it. Accidents happen, like you said, and Rei owned up to the mistake and tried to take responsibility as best he could. And it really is better that Ingo was the one bitten instead of someone more... unaccepting.

I wanna say his parents got caught/killed somehow and now Rei is terrified of the idea of people learning what he is. So suddenly being surrounded by the Pearl and Diamond Clan, which has other wolfwalker a in it and Indo inadvertently becoming his Pack, Rei is kinda in an anxiety loop because instinct says that this is all wrong!

Instinct says, “Yes! These people are safe! They’re not your pack, but they’re safe!” And Ingo is New Packmate, he should be at least a little happy to now be alone anymore.

Rei’s anxiety, on the other hand, is screaming.

But he’s doing his best, regardless.
