bellamy would swear up and down that he once fit twenty marshmallows in his mouth. octavia would laugh, and clarke would say she could fit twenty two, with a twinkle of challenge in her eye. raven would bring out marshmallows and talk big about how she’ll kick anyone’s ass at chubby bunny. then murphy walks up, in all his lanky, tiny glory and whispers that he beat some kid in jail by stuffing thirty-two marshmallows in his mouth. and everyone just stands there for a moment, the complete shock of it settling on them, and then they’re all like “shit, he’s got to be telling the truth. i don’t think he’s ever told a joke in his life.” and that’s how john murphy became the chubby bunny champ of earth.
