It’s finally ready for sharing: my printed collection of the wolfverse through 2025! Happy 2M words/10 years of hockey rpf to meeee
If you would also like to have some or all of the wolfverse on your shelf, you’re in luck: the PDFs and cover files are free and linked below. There are a couple of things you can do with them:
Follow the instructions in the linked folder to print them on lulu.com, which they’re optimized for
Anything* else you want!
*For your personal use only. Please don’t sell them. I would be very sad.
Here is a direct link to the instructions for printing on Lulu, which links to the PDFs (RECOMMENDED)
Here is a folder with the PDFs if you want to go rogue
If you do print them, please consider telling me and/or sending a picture for me to lavish with love! It would make me very happy to know that other people have these on their shelf 🤩
More info on the volume breakdown and the covers below the cut!
Here’s how the volumes are divided:
1988
Bennguin
Hallsy/Ebs, Stromecat, Advent 2019
Marnthews
Sidgeno, McMattDrai
Hughes bros
As I mentioned in an ask recently, this breakdown was the result of trying to keep pairings together, preserve some of the original chronology, and have volumes be roughly balanced (though they do vary in length from 298 pages in the shortest volume (1988) to 470 pages in the longest (Bennguin)).
The books were typeset in Word using 10 pt. Palatino Linotype for the body and OptimusPrinceps for the headers.
I made the covers in Procreate. I learned how to use it for this project and was very proud of myself for learning to Art so here are the full cover images:
I tried to match the cover elements to something relevant to the volume contents/titles. The colors were sometimes suggested by the theme and sometimes just because I didn't have a volume in that color yet.
FYI, the versions in the photos at the top of this post aren't the versions in the linked PDFs; I went in and fixed some color contrast issues after receiving the printed copies.
Feel free to let me know if there are other details you're curious about!
A couple of things I want to tweak, especially on the paperbacks, but I love them so much 😍🥰 I’m tentatively planning to post the PDFs later this week for anyone who wants to get them printed themselves!
I redesigned the covers and printed a test version of volume 1. It just arrived, and it looks amazing!!
(Behold, my crappy photography skills)
I’m going to tweak a couple of things and then print the other five. Once they’re done, I’ll share the PDFs so you all can have the option of printing them too!!
I have finished typesetting volumes 4-6 and am currently partway through volume 1! It doesn't look like I'll be done by the anniversary of the first wolfverse post, July 2, but there's an outside chance I'll finish them all by the anniversary of the date I completed the first wolfverse story, August 6. Or we might end up celebrating a bit later this fall, which is also good!
For those who missed it/want a reminder: for the tenth anniversary of my time in hockey rpf and of the wolfverse, and to celebrate the 2M words that I will probably reach as soon as I start posting a new story, I'm typesetting the wolfverse stories as 6 volumes to be printed on Lulu. I plan to post the PDFs for anyone who wants to print them for themselves as well. Can't wait to have a multicolored array of secret wolf bonds on my shelf!
Got my tester copy of the first wolfverse volume! (Yes, I started with volume 4. I’m quirky like that.) The plan was to use this to course correct for the other volumes, but actually there’s not that much I want to change:
Not the same anon, but Ao3 epubs are so bad 😅 the formatting is always somewhat off and it doesn’t really divide the chapter properly. I just converted wolfverse one and the epub formatting is just like a real ebook
Oh cool! Okay, then have at it! I don’t mind the ao3 epubs but possibly I am just unbothered by things like that. 😅
Linsky my beloved. I noticed you posted Jack’s and Quinn’s stories at the same time. Is it supposed to be like a tandem read or am I okay to read Quinn’s and then Jack’s?
So I did! They do have heavy overlap. I think there's an ideal way to read them -- a tandem read, as you termed it -- and then there's a much more normal and still fine way to read them. I will let you make your choice.
If you want to read them in more or less chronological order without jumping between stories too much (this is probably how I'll print them in the physical wolfverse books):
Quinn chapters 1-7
All of Jack
Quinn chapters 8-end
If you want to be REALLY EXCEPTIONALLY CHRONOLOGICAL (this is the order in which I posted them):
Quinn chapters 1-7
Jack chapters 1-2
Quinn chapter 8
Jack chapters 3-end
Quinn chapters 9-end
But that is a lot. I don't really expect people to bounce back and forth between the stories like that. Here's what I would recommend for a much easier read (this is their current order in the series):
All of Jack
All of Quinn
You could also read them in the opposite order, but Quinn's story spoils Jack's much more than the other way around, which is why I reordered the series to put Jack's first. Choose your level of chronologicalness from this list!
