She could sense it, feel it in her bones and in her soul, and it didn’t matter how
impossible it seemed, Maka wasn’t going to give up. There was a witch
around here, somewhere and she W A S going to find it!! Trudging out on her
own probably hadn’t been the best idea in the world, but after everything that
happened the l a s t time she and Soul had “found” a witch, Maka thought it
better safe than sorry to confirm the witch’s identity prior to bringing Soul along.
Of course -- Blair had been so easy to find: she was so flamboyant and open
about her magic, it’d been nearly comical, but t h i s witch seemed to be so well
hidden it was as if she didn’t exist at all...
But Maka knew better!! The witch
was here s o m e w h e r e -- She had to be... Gloved hands braced her
weight against coarse brick, as the blonde meister heaved a sigh split
between defeat and frustration; here she was in some randon city, exhausted
and completely alone, and she didn’t even have a witch to show for it.
Soul was going to enjoy this W A Y too much --
