"So tall dark and handsome blew in from Turbo Hell."
Another wolfevolent question-- so there's a bunch of times in wolf 359 where Doug treats Hera like a daughter (not like, in an infantilising way, in a "she is chronologically only 4 and has so much to learn about the world" kind of way) so like. Does he do the same thing with John???? Arthur also compares him and John to a parent and child, but it's a less touched on theme than in the Eiffel and Hera dynamic... (also how would Malev 359 Arthur get along with Hera???)
so. The way John *is* leads Doug to assume he's older. Like, ghost from bygone era type shit. Less "teaching a child about the world" and more "introducing 1800s vampire to the mp3 player"
Arthur is a little old fashioned, and he calls her Miss Hera, he's actually pretty friendly, given that Minkowski argues with Hera all the time and Hilbert doesn't even consider her a person, he has a friendship with Hera, perhaps not quite like Doug would have, but they do become, to such a way Hera keeps an ear out for any of that classical music broadcasts (which Lester can identify)
Part of the reason Lester attacks Hilbert is the perception that he killed Hera. He's very upset by this
Wait, do Faroe and Anne go through the same things in Wolfevolent, or do they swap?? (I.e. did malev eiffel allow his daughter to drown- which is 100% plausible- or did he still do the kidnapping Anne and drunk driving?)
Don't worry about it it's fine
I need everyone to know that when Doug sees the king in yellow he is wearing a star wars t-shirt
This has no relevance to the plot or anything I just love how silly the image is
Yellow, about Doug: I miss him. He used to call me sweetheart :( Larson: that's nice. I'm not doing that.
smiles. can i hear about wolfevolent. please :3
Ouaghhhh I keep getting these ones mixed up but Wolfevolent is Doug in Malevolent and Malev359 is Arthur on the USS Hephaestus
Wolfevolent takes place closer to 2015, bc the pop culture references are important to his character and I am simply not studious enough to recreate his character in the 1920s, that sounds. Remarkably difficult
He likes to call John pet names the way he talks to Hera, calls him doll, baby, and sometimes even princess etc etc.
Hes trying really hard not to kill people, and it helps. He has less kills than Arthur, and his problems are also kinda different
im still working on stuff so nothing's really set in stone, but Doug/John is very sweetie
Ooooh how do you think Arthur 359 would feel about Lovelace technically not being human??? (I feel like she could parallel John a bit)
see, the thing is, Arthur is tense when Lovelace first shows up. He Is Not Fond Of Her bc she poses a threat, especially to Hera, and the rest of the crew, and he's not as buddy buddy as eiffel.
But no one really gets the idea of the whole "she's not human" until sci 5 shows up.
I haven't quite figured that out, and there's a knifes edge between "her being human doesn't matter" and "she has become a liability" that gets especially complicated with Sci5.
