Heater
Valko drabble
A/N: It's period time :( Wish I had a wolf hubby heating pad to warm me :'((
"Don't move!" You grumble as Valko tries to shift from where he is laying on top of you, theown over your abdomen, just supporting himself with his elbows as he reads a book from your shelf.
He mumbles a quiet apology, settling back down on you, putting his weight down just slightly.
You lean back down, a packet of chips in your hand with other little snacks scattered all over the bed, some left over fried chicken and noodes getting cold on the nightstand and the constant pressure of the wolf on your body.
It's the picture of perfect contentment, so unlike your morning, waking up to Valko staring you down, telling you that you smelled metalic. You had thought he was joking, your periods wouldn't be coming for another week or so, yet Valko was a way better period predictor than any app.
Lunch date plans had been instantly cancled and food ordered in, you spent almost all of your day in bed, munching on one thing or another and complaining about pain.
And best of all, Valko is too warm, the constant, steady pressure of him lounging on your belly is enough that any other heating pad feels useless.
His tail thumps side-to-side from your chest to knees, causing another ticklish distraction from the constant cramping, his ears twitch in the direction of the speakers that shuffeled your playlist, softly humming along to the song.
Neither of your speaks unless it's to pass food or drinks, you lull in-and-out of sleep soon enough from the rhythmic slaming on his fuzzy tail, focusing on the ceiling above your head, at the lights you have dimmed since they were annoying your eyes.
Ice cream. When Valko is done being a heating pad, you'll have him get you some ice cream. And your mind already plans for dinner, maybe you could make some instant noodles when the cramps lessen. The idea sounds perfect, this moment seems perfect, if only you had more chocolate.
"Dogs shouldn't have chocolate." You whisper, not realising you've said it aloud.
"Good thing I'm not a dog." Valko whispers back, his free hand massaging your abdomen under his when he heard it rumble, "Thinking about food? We just ate."
Your ears turn crimson at the realization that he's heard you and at his touch, wiggling slightly under him, "Don't judge, food basically doesn't count with how much iron I'm losing this week."
"Steak for dinner, then? That'll get you up."
"The ramen, hidden in the back of the upper drawer."
Valko laughs, setting his book down on the bed, "Who are you hiding ramen from?" Focusing his attention on you, though he doesn't move, still providing heat.
"Me..."
The wolf snorts, earning a hit on the face with the pillow you laid on, producing a comical "THWACK" sound.
"That's for making me think about steak and ramen together."
"We could make that."
"No, you."
"Princess' gonna make me work all alone?"
"Mmhmm, but don't move now, I still need warm."
Valko hums after your little back-and-forth, his head rested on his crossed arms as he looks at you snacking, so focused on your food right now and the dinner that was hours away.
"Anything else Princess wants?" His tone comes out teasing, flicking at you with his bushy tail.
You catch it before it can smack at you, humming as you think. "You should take notes. Some ice cream, and then—
