I'm off to the Iron Gauntlet II Battletech Tournament. Wish me luck!
IRON GAUNTLET II
So we had the Iron Gauntlet II WolfNet Alpha Strike 350 Tournament this past Saturday, the ninth, over at Noble Night.
We had six contestants and ran through three rounds; I managed to take third place.
Lessons I think we took away from that were that Indirect Fire can be easily cheesed and the physical/melee is a great way to still deal damage while trying to cool down(physical/melee attacks do not generate heat; therefore if you're overheated and feeling vindictive bonk someone on the head).
After we got done with the tournament, we decided to get crazy-go-nuts and ran a game of Three-on-Three Bunkers.
All in all, a great time. Here are pictures me and the guy by the handle of Warpig took of the whole thing with more after the break.
So this week's local game was a riff on the Capture the Flag scenario from the Wolfnet AS350 tournament format. However it had one special boy...
THE FIREBALL XF!
It certainly was one of the best units to be grabbing flags but that was not the highlight for night.
No. THAT WAS THE 40 HEX CHARGE AGAINST A HUNCHBACK C.
WHICH WAS SUCCESSFUL.

Greetings and bienvenue,
We're holding a WolfNet Battletech Alpha Strike 350 tournament Saturday November 9th at 10am over at Noble Knight in Fitchburg Wisconsin. All you should need to know is on the attached flyer if you are interested in dropping by.
So despite all logic and reason, I somehow took First place at the Sub Zero Shootout WolfNet 350 Alpha Strike Tournament.
