By the way three cheers everyone! Wolf Quest added a visual indicator for finding baby deer in the grass! You no longer have to rely purely on the audio cue from the music!!

Hopefully this means that they are working on more visual indicators for audio like when you can hear elk bugling in the distance, wolves howling, and other active animal sounds!

I literally cannot stress to you enough how much these people care about this game. I cannot. They apologized for making the game cost $20 instead of $15 like the original that was made in 2003 was.

can't stand the fact that I now can't praise the fucking AI of the NPCs in the Wolf Quest Saga without having to fucking specify that I mean the programming that goes into dictacting the NPCs actions and reactions, instead of generative "AI".

The fact that the rich fuckers have been shoving the idea that generative models are "AI" as in "artificial intelligences" down our throats so fucking hard is part of the scam.

Anyways. In the Wolf Quest Saga, your older pups in late summer........can decide to stalk coyotes (youtube link). That they are barely bigger than. The same coyotes that just tried to kill them less than 5 minutes ago.

I just had my first elder wolf die, so here's a warning (until they patch fix it lol) -- if you play as an iron or elder wolf, read the buttons before you click them on the death screen! I hit the wrong one and didn't get the option to continue playing as another pack mate -- they're obviously gonna fix this soon, lol, but in case you manage to get that far before they do :)

Well it's going

update: Trout went and got herself killed by a bear for literally no reason at all. So that's 2/2 of Drift's mates to get killed by bears. At least when I died as Kio it was for a good reason. Trout picked that fight for, and I cannot stress this enough, literally no reason at all. We were all far away. None of us were hungry. What the heck.

I'm just gonna keep editing this family tree with upates.

at least until they fix this lol, do not make the same mistake as me. Do NOT click the "finished, return to the main menu" button when your elder / iron wolf dies, right now it means you don't get the option to continue the pack later. They're obvioulsly gonna fix this lol but welp, here's your warning until then.

feel free to suggst naming themes since I'm going to be naming every NPC wolf I meet in Wolf Quest now that you can do that. Each pack will get a different theme, which doesn't need to have anything to do with the pack's name.

I figure I can name at least one pack after the greek alphabet....

I'm naming Weasel Gulch's original pack after weapons. They'll need a newer theme to reflect the new pack leader. I would say scifi weapons but I don't think that's quite broad enough of a category to give me enough distinct names. But then again Ray is like 5 or 6 so he might die sooner than later and then I'd have to find a different mate so the theme would change again so maybe that could work.

The Lost Valley pack is space themed

Elevation was tree themed, then was post-apocalyptic, and now....funerary? Themed. Their breeding adults are dropping like flies. And I was only responsible for one of those deaths. And she had it coming.

uh so yeah feel free to suggest themes. I need usually at minimum 2 or three names, at max probably 20
