Dire consequences when the crime of cannibalism is committed, turning dogs into monstrous wolves called Shucks. Condemned to their own body and forced to kill anyone they can. Sheep are tortured in their sleep with memories of these creatures and glimpses into their grim future.
On the brink of extinction a prophecy was discovered. A black ram and white wolf will fight to the death to determine the fate of their species. Who will be saved and who will be slaves.
Nott, the ram born with a black fleece finds himself not ready to face the white wolf. Asking himself questions like how did the world get like this, who is the white wolf and if it’s possible to save both dog and sheep.
