plea for pictures
i lost nearly all of my wolfbane pictures (1-4) when my hard drive crashed in Jan. so if anyone feels like send me some. i'm open to getting spammed this time last year was Wolfsbane 4. https://media.giphy.com/media/fa52tjli2wTza/giphy.gif we need to arrange a meet up of the wolfsbane pack or something
Lucky fans!
Did you meet Holland? If so, what was she like? :) xx
I did, at Wolfsbane 2 this last July.Hum, I only managed to interact with her for a little bit at the photo ops and then at the autographs. At the photo op she was alright. She didn’t mind when I asked her for a hug and she said that she liked my hair so that was sweet of her. I just wished she would have smiled at the photo but whatever. It was also sweet that she is so tiny but even when people were taller than her (me included) she still insisted on putting her arm over the person’s shoulder xDAt the autographs it was disapointing for me as with the other actors you could talk to them and they were super sweet and nice and asked your name to write on the autograph and it was my birthday when I got my autographs and I told them that and they wrote ‘happy birthday’ and were super sweet to me but with her it was different. She just seemed to be in a hurry and barely looked at me when I got my autograph and didn’t ask for my name or anything. It was over in a flash. I was a bit upset about that but I still like her.I liked her in the panels, even though she was a bit more restrained and quiet compared to some other actors but she talks A LOT. Like, she takes a lot of time answering a question and she rambles a lot and it’s really funny and sweet. But again, even though that experience at the autographs was a bit upseting I still like her and her character at teen wolf. :)
And after nearly 18 days... A Wolfsbane2 recap from me.
I don’t know why I bother writing this down, since it has been like, almost 20 days since WB2, but whatever. I’m doing for myself, to keep those memories fresh and to have a reminder that I can re-read whenever I want. Ok, the only problematic moment of the convention, really, was the registration. It took AGES. Same goes for the 1st sale of stuff like photo ops and autographs for bonus guests. I mean, I queued up for almost four hours (from 4PM to 8PM) to get my badge, my photo ops and Daniel’s autograph. Should have waited for the following morning, if I only knew. I mean, I was there anyway because I was trying to get at least one Coffee Lounge (CL from now on) with either Holland, Daniel or Ian (I already did one with JR and Tyler last year so I was more interested in having a CL with guests I wasn’t ‘familiar’ with). Whatever. Holland’s though, was already sold out by the time I got there (9AM). Unable to decide between Daniel’s and Ian’s, I settled for Ian’s CL on Saturday and Daniel’s on Sunday. AND THANK YOU TO THE ‘PROFESSIONAL QUEUERS’ THAT HELPED OUT ON SUNDAY MORNING. THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU PEOPLE WHO STICKED TO THE NUMBERS AND MADE SURE NO ONE GOT UP AT 2AM AND LEFT WITHOUT TYLER/JR OR HOLLAND’S CL. I personally was n° 45 and the Tyler/JR CL was sold out after n°40, but I wasn’t desperate to get it (I mean, if there still was a couple left I would have probably bought it because those two together are even more awesome than taken singularly). It’s good to queue without having to worry about people jumping the queue or being able to leave to go to the toilet without losing your ‘spot’. I seriously doubt that something like that could ever happen in Italy. Schedule on Saturday was CRAZY. Yeah, another big issue with this convention – but I guess it was inevitable, when you have so many guests – was the overlapping of events. Like, I managed to be there for only one full panel (Tyler’s) and just got bit and pieces of the others because I HAD to get my photos and autographs - since I kinda already knew that the sessions on Sunday were for the people with Regular Passes from G to K, not F - and it ruined my enjoyment of the convention a little, because panels are my favorite part :( . And it wasn’t even like I had a photo with each guest: I had a photo with Tyler, Daniel, JR and Stephen. Ian&Holland double was on Sunday. I kinda got the impression that WB1 was less stressing, except for the CLs? Even the people seemed more laidback, but maybe it was simply because we were a smaller group and most of us shipped the same stuff. I hadn’t got the feeling that Sterek was someone’s NOTP, at least. What I do really love about UK conventions, though, is the prices of the M&G. Yeah, they call them CLs but they are M&G. I kinda wish I have the guts (because I am blessed with no financial issues, so I do have the money) to buy a VIP pass for WB3 because I wish I can go to them all. Or most of them. I don’t really care about photos, because I always looking like shit in them and I regret buying them as soon as I collect them from the table, but CLs… They’re awesome. Both in Ian’s and in Daniel’s CL I got to sit quite near to them. Actually, at the perfect distance to speak to them while looking in those amazing blue eyes. Those who think that “if you haven’t got anything nice to say then don’t say anything” or that either you are enthusiastically positive about TW or you’re not a fan probably wouldn’t have enjoyed the chat we had with Ian Bohen. He was wonderfully critical about the show with its virtues and issues. What struck me first, however, was his mention about the demographic TW is supposed to be addressed to: 13-19. We told him it is way too dark for someone so young – generally speaking, of course. He agreed and told us that they then realized that the viewership is mostly 16 to 29, but sometimes the show still feels like it’s trying to attract that 13-19 (I personally cannot understand why: it’s more likely that people between 19 and 29 are able to buy the stuff you advertise during the show and also all the merchandise related to the show, but whatever…). He also said that the cast feels like there something off with S4, though they can’t quite put their finger on what it is. He isn’t a big fan of introducing so many new characters and sacrificing the old ones. As we’ve already seen in the latest episodes, he wasn’t saying out of spite and sourness about his character being pushed on the sidelines because in this season Peter is quite prominent and has a ‘big arc’. He is a Stydia shipper and isn’t really convinced by how Stalia has been developed, though he likes Malia as as a character. I told him that yeah, if I completely ignore the Eichen House episode I would have no problem with Stalia (I know they still got issues, but I have plenty of pairing with issues: I mean, I ship Ereri in Shingeki No Kyojin) but it happened, so… He is more interested in directing than acting. He has been asking Jeff for years to let him direct an episode, but still got no chance to do it. When he reads a scene on the script, he can always tell who is going to direct it. Same goes for seeing a particular shot on TV. He kinda wishes they would stop having Peter coming down the stairs in Derek’s loft, it’s getting old. Both him and Daniel are not too keen on how emotional depth has been replaced by action packed scenes, but they do understand that maybe it was needed after S3b. Daniel said he left because he felt there was nothing more to tell about Isaac, though he would love to come back if they wrote the character a compelling story.
Of course we asked him about The Originals, but he didn’t give away anything that we didn’t already know (except that he’s supposed to be presented just like Isaac was at the beginning: someone who likes to do a lot of damage and work in a trio). I was glad to hear he loves working with Daniel Gillies and Joseph Morgan <3 He talked about how weird it was to be back in Atlanta, after TW moved everything to LA. Some TO scenes are actually set in New Orleans, but most of it is shoot in Atlanta. He then talked about TW crazy schedules, and the massive amount of respect he has for all the crew who works much longer hours than the actors (and he was mentioning going to work at 4PM and coming back home at 8AM on the following day...). That prompted someone to ask if he drives himself to work, and he said yes. With such a shift, however, it’s a nightmare because he always gets stuck in traffic. At first it was weird to drive an American car and ‘on the wrong side of the road’. Since I’ll probably be having the same issue when I actually start driving here in UK, I mentioned it to him telling that I was a bit scared because I never drove an English car. Of course he said I shouldn’t worry, and proceeded to tell us about this trip he went on with Max in Brazil, where they got nearly killed because he stalled a car in the middle of a trafficked road (and he was so frantic about it that people passing by started laughing about their predicament) and later on took a one-way street the wrong way. Max didn’t take that too well. Some of us where at Ian’s CL too, so we asked him about Ian trying to set his house on fire (never trust Ian Bohen with a fire, especially if you got tax returns laying around and waiting to be burnt) and if he’s interested in directing too. He says that he’s too lazy to do that. Nevertheless, he is interested in going back to theatre, putting up his own company and everything. He is currently working on a play together with JR. He prefers modern pieces to classics. He loves that in London you can get a great seat for £10 if you queue at the theatres’ box offices on the day of the show – ask anyone who has seen Coriolanus from the first row ;) – and he sorely misses that, ‘cause in NYC you hardly can get a Broadway ticket for less than $100. He is baffled by the lack of theatres in LA, when there are so many talented actors with no jobs. I got to ask the last question, and it was about him moving to the US: was it hard for him to do so? Yes, it was because he had to leave friends and family (he said he hadn’t seen his brother, who was at the convention as well, for 3 years) but that he managed because moving to US was something he dreamed of doing since he was 8. You got to have your goal clear in your mind, still, to uproot your life like that.
Reception in the panel’s room was disastrous. And it wasn’t like the hallways were much better. I had taken upon myself to do the livetweeting of the Q&As for ForeverDreaming.org, but I could only tweet outside the hotel. I did, however, wrote down stuff on my phone to remember some of their answers. This is what I got: - Apparently in Road To Perdition he ate so many pies, for a scene, that he is still sick thinking about them now: too confident about eating pie, still nautious. Learnt to slow down when he eats them, now. - Colton starts everything, ideas backfire on him. - Not full wolf because he has no full mastery of his abilities. - Peter as the alpha most surprising twist for him. Expected Ian to stay only for a day. - Which character do you want to be: Stiles. Lydia is Ian's answer. - Least favorite stunt: fight in the water in the loft.
- Which guest star would he like: Clooney as Derek's dad. - No spoilers for GOT please. - Fan of Jaime. Though he would probably be in House Martell. - Nervous when he has to sing for an audition. Otherwise he had been an actor for 17 years, so... - Advice for Derek: take all your friends and leave. Loves how much Derek has evolved. - House Of Card as other show to be in with Kevin S. with a bantering scene. When he loves a show he watches 3 episodes a day. - Most demanding role was on Road To Perdition. Most challenging is Derek and not laughing for Dylan funny scenes. - Not startruck with Tom Hanks, but with baseball players. - Missing scenes with the teenagers, especially with Dylan. More in S4 than 3b but still not enough for him. - Challenging not to know all things beforehand. Mention to Paige helping him understand the scene with Jennifer (????).
*totally missed Stephen's panel ;0;*
SETH
- Deaton in regards to the promise to Talia: Male figure looking after Derek. Cora and Laura seemed not to be part of the equation. - Every friend of Scott is a friend of Deaton too = regarding Deaton's attitude towards the pack
- Back story more important in theatre. - His theory about why Deaton doesn’t leave BH: You cannot leave Beacon Hills. - Great pain for Morell and their dynamic. For wasted potential, not for good vs bad reasons. - Flirting with Bianca/Morell before he knew she was his sister in the show and directors let him! - Deaton is not scared of anything. - Willing to settle down if Beacon Hills stopped being a beacon. - Captain Kirk too horny for him. Mentioned that he'd be in a sci-fi show but I really cannot understand the title. - He doesn't thing Stiles being the 'spark' never had a supernatural entendre but that he was just as powerful as Scott as a person, even without supernatural powers. - He doesn't think Deaton knows about Malia being Peter's daughter or Deaton's feeligs about Malia. - He would love more scenes with Hoechlin and JR Bourne because they are his favorite characters on the show.
*off to Stephen and Tyler's photo op plus Ian's Coffee Lounge*
MAX PANEL
- Just caught the end of his panel. Mary Poppins and Robin Hood = favorite characters, favorite song is A Whole New World, did not understand his favorite Disney's movie. - He understands characters quickly moving on story wise but not emotionally - Politics and medicine as alternative professions - They decide together what character to audition for. - The only stunts he did not himself are the ones where Aiden gets thrown into the walls. - Sick of reboots/remakes. - Headcanon of Aiden being the one who underwent most trouble being an Omega, to protect Ethan. - Can see Aiden coming back one day as someone only Lydia can see, with her powers.
JR
- Would love more talks with Stilinski - Being a hunter is in his blood. Moral code is fundamental too. - Tremendous amount of respect for Victoria, so he let her raise Allison her with the tough love philosophy. - How do they ship us without a name? *about Peter/Chris = Cheeta; Cale* - Free love for everybody *Hales loving Argents* - He has problems with pronouncing 'nogitsune'. - Struggles with coming back but does it because it's for Allison's friends. - Happiest place to be: on a sailboat in the middle of the sea. - Does not about DC vs MARVEL feud. - The other supernatural characters as a badass family for Chris, all being vigilantes. *his idea for a spin off* - Having lost both his parents, he can play on that for dark characters motivations and how to deal with grievances. - He loves dancing but he can't do it. - Peter and Chris meeting now would be Clash Of The Titans. - Would have loved to explore more of his two characters on Stargate. - Sadly not enough Chris and Derek interactions. - Isaac is being take care of by Chris' associates in France. - Chris does not cross path with Malia this season.
13/07
Again I have no connection in the panel room so it will be a sum up of what I wrote down as they spoke. Not there for Holland and Ian panel since I am in Daniel's Coffee Lounge.
Max&Charlie
- Jaeger name: played Mindmeld and settled on Bagel. - Favorite prop: teeth & motorcycles - Swap your twin for a Disney Princess: Ariel for Max, Charlie for Lilo - If anyone on the set could have a twin? Melissa & Seth - Max, if you had a warning label what would it said? "prepare for a good time" - Swapped characters by mistake - Not really good with accents, tried Scottish from Brave and German - Jason Derulo (Wiggle), 2 become 1, Nothing compares to you *theme songs* - Impression of Dylan by Max. - Tried out for The Social Network - Weirdest dream: whilst they were living on a farm, at ten in the night they heard creepy woman voice. So the following night they dreamt that this woman held a gun at the mom's head. - Does Charlie ever plays the ‘I’m older than you’ card? Well yes, of course. He’s born in July and Max is born in August! - Do not know how to ride motorcycle - Guilty pleasures: living like a pig (Max), decorating their flat (Charlie) - If they could come back to TW, how would they like to do it? in Lydia's dream, Ethan coming back with another super power. - Kinda sense when something is going on in their twin's life. - Best & Worst part of working on TW is working with each other. - Character they would like to kill: Coach (Max), Gerard (Charlie) - Dude ranch (Charlie), Cardboard packing (Max) *best and worst job* STEPHEN & ADAM
- Who would you be in a videogame: Adam does not play games, Stephen would be Commander Sheppard (?) - Favorite musical: Wicked (S), Book of Mormon (A) - Favorite play he has been in: Venus in fur (A) - Favorite cosplay: batman, he painted fake abs and the one he did last year at Comic Con; dream cosplay: metal gear solid (S) - Stephen was the 'kid' on PP but the oldest 'teen' on TW. - Favorite urban legends: don't really know, Stephen mentions The Little Mermaid copy with a penis. He is big on conspiracy theories. - Matt would last 3 minutes on GOT. - Stephen and Adam think that Matt & Harris would make a good team... who would immediately end up in prison.
*got called for Holland&Ian photo*
