6. -> Do you listen to anything while you write? Or do you prefer silence?

The truly honest answer is that it depends hahah It has happened before that I had a playlist going and then didn't realise it had ended. Thus, I was writing in silence for several minutes, possibly an hour or so 😂 But it can be distracting if the song doesn't match the mood or the story, so I might not put anything on or pick some white noise/lofi beats kinda thing to have in the background (especially when I'm writing someplace elsewhere). I used to have extensive playlists for some of my fics in the past but not so much nowadays tho 🤔

16. -> How do you write your fics? (Handwritten, google docs, word, etc)

I've done all of these for different fics over the years. Like I started with handwriting them and MS Word/Libre Office, even the notes app or WPS on my phone. Then moved to Google Docs almost permanently, and now I'm even trying out Ellipsus lol Tbh handwriting is the least distracting and perfectionistic approach because I'm just writing without worrying about grammar or if it's the perfect sentence™, but transcribing what I had written can be a bit of a pain in the ass 😅

20. -> What made you start writing?

Well, what made me start writing stories in general is a funny little story in which I wrote a little scene in fifth grade for our language class with what someone might have called OCs but I didn't know that kinda terminology at the time hahah Writing fics specifically, on the other hand, came after a three year writing drought in my early twenties when I switched to writing stuff directly into English instead of trying to translate them. Although, to be fair, I had been trying to write fics a little bit earlier than that period. But I was too self conscious about my ideas for anything to get finished or published (something that still persists to this day ngl). Everything posted is a battle against self doubts, people-pleasing tendencies and time; so please bare with me! 🫣

Hi hi, thank you for playing~! ^w^ (sorry for the delay, it's been a hectic weekend, and these were such good questions! I had to take my time to answer them properly 🫣)

3 -> Is there any trope/scene you've been wanting to write?

Well, I'm not sure if that's considered a trope because I don't believe in fixed dynamics for ships tbh. Therefore, I tend to leave things kinda vague when it's not a smut fic. But if there's one thing I really want to indulge in, it's my delusions headcanons of a top!Shinichi lol Like half the fun of writing fic for me is trying to imagine scenarios where some things can work in particular settings so... hopefully, I won't get excommunicated by the fandom for wanting that hahah 😅

7 -> Have you ever written anything based on personal experience?

*awkward laughs* I thought I was pretty good at being detached to some degree from what's happening in my stories. It's easier to treat characters as dolls to throw into situations that are mostly hypothetical in this regard. But unrequited love seems to be my weakness, even if the overall plot might have nothing to do with my actual personal experience (I wrote an original story once for which I reacted so emotionally, to the point everyone thought I really had a crush that married somebody else in front of me 😂).

11 -> Post something from a current wip or concept

My wips are numerous, and I don't really have an order of priority that isn't fueled by a sense of guilt /half-joke So I'll share snippets from those documents I've opened recently hahah

The continuation of that mermaid AU I was supposed to finish for KSSS 24. Hopefully, it won't continue to bring the AO3 curse on my head plz 😅

“We just have to lose them, right?” Shinichi nodded. The stranger grinned again. Humans liked to write in their prose how someone mischievous might smile like a shark, which was untrue. Sharks had a blank expression even when they opened their mouths to bite on their prey. On the other hand, if dolphins could grin, it would've been exactly the same as this person's smile. “You're lucky then. This is my specialty~!” he singsonged.

This is from the second part of that 4.5 chapter from my Raildex fic that had readers reaching out to me across platforms about it and making me feel so flattered tbh 🫣

“Nothing. It just hit me. You’re pretty good at this, like a real strategist and everything.” Mikoto let her arm holding the gun go limp. “I guess all those battle scenarios were genuine.” A sad chuckle escaped her as she took a shuddering breath. “Somehow I thought it had been an understatement—a way to mask the truth. Make the whole thing worth throwing their humanity away.” “The scientists in this city never had any morals,” Accelerator said. “Who promises powers to little kids, if not to make them weapons for someone else? We’ve been nothing but lab rats from the very start.” He leveled his gaze with hers, a grim expression spreading on his face. “Or did you think because you had volunteered, it was different?” At that moment, her shoes became the most interesting thing in the world. “I did, actually. I grew up believing no one had any reason to lie to me like that. I even fancied myself as some kind of savior, giving out my DNA sample for nonexistent research. But things in Academy City aren’t that simple. It is pretty pathetic, isn’t it?”

32. Name three of your favorite fanfic writers?

I agonized over this question for weeks! It felt like picking your favorite classmates from your cooking class 😅 There are hundreds amazing writers out there, in many different fandoms, and everyone has something to offer at their respective fan community. So, from the top of my head, I'd say @karmahope, Crow and you, love~ 😘

41. Do you tend to reread fics or are you a one-and-done kind of person?

I'd say it depends on the fic. Sometimes I'd be satisfied with reading it just once. Others I'd want to read it again and again, or even just revisit it after some time when I'm in the mood for it. I definitely reread my own completed fics lol

58. What part of the writing process do you enjoy the most? (Brainstorming, outlining, writing, editing etc)

Certainly brainstorming and outlining. Both tend to be a double-edged sword though, as in sometimes it will be super easy, and others I'll have to wrack my brain for weeks to figure something out.

4. Have you ever written a fic inspired by a tumblr post?

Back when I first started writing fics in early 2012-2014, there were several blogs with prompt lists and stuff. So I did start a couple of WIPs inspired by some of the prompts (Cat Lovers was the one I ended up posting something from them all 🫣)

Now that I think about it, I was inspired once from a theory post for BNHA while stuff were still unclear about some of the characters. I basically run off and did my own thing out of it since the theory was proven wrong though hahah 🤭. It was [Forgive me (Not)]!

12. Do you write in order, jump around the draft, or a mix? Something else?

It depends on the fic, to be honest 🤔

Like with multi chaptered fics, I tend to jump around a lot because I usually have a very clear idea about further ahead into the story, maybe even the ending lol So most of the time, I reverse engineer how we ended up there, instead of starting from the original idea and then figure out where it'll go. Although, I've written towards both the beginning and the ending by starting in the middle of things but that's definitely harder hahahah

One shots are more linear, in comparison, especially when they stay short and don't evolve into some multi chaptered monstrosity. That's usually when I try to keep them contained into a handful of scenes without elaborating about the rest of the set up ngl 😂

25. Someone you know outside of fandom has heard that you're a writer. "I'd like to read something of yours!" they say with sincere enthusiasm. "Where can I find it?" What's your answer?

Been there, done that several times so far because a lot of my friends aren't really part of fandoms in general lol So I told them, even gave them the links personally 🤣 But if it's someone I don't know very well, I'm a lot more dodgy about it. Maybe it is a blessing that most of the writers I know in the local scene, don't really read stuff in English /half joke 🤭

15 -> Any changes that you've noticed in your writing since you started?

Hmmm I don't think my style (if I even have one) has changed that drastically over the years. The biggest critique about my work (back when I was solely writing original fiction) was that I didn't elaborate on descriptions of the characters' surroundings and such (I tend to focus on dialogue a lot as a writer hahah 😅). Thus, at some point, I decided to try to get better at them and started incorporating them more. If there's something I feel that I'm lacking at the moment, it's diving into the emotional state of the characters for greater impact. So that's what I want to tackle next! 💪

1 -> How many WIPs do you currently have?

Per fandom? Per specific ship? Like I always bring up my Excel sheet (usually unprompted) that I use to keep track of the ideas I do want to eventually write or I'm currently working on. There are just too many!

If we want to narrow it down to those that I keep in mind because they've been partly posted already, I'll say about 10.

7 -> What fic are you the proudest of?

Everyone still following me from my active BNHA days might be tired of me always mentioning What It Means To Save, which even in its imperfection, I feel I managed to get what I wanted from it. But I'm also pretty proud of my KSBB entry from last year, The Countdown to Immortality, since it was the first multi-chap I completed, and my longest fic in general (so far)! ^w^

3 -> What was the last thing you looked up for a fic

Hmmm the topics I remember more vividly searching about were what sort of marine life could one find in the sea around Japan that would fetch a good price for poachers, and town layouts for their more obscure/less populated islands for my mermaid AU fic, Into the Unknown. To be honest, I wanted to be sure I wasn't pulling stuff completely out of nowhere with my descriptions (the island the story takes place on is completely fictional 🫣). In the end, it doesn't reflect any particular place since there are several plot-relevant places I wanted to include that don't really exist anywhere at the same time irl 😂

5 -> Where do you get your title inspiration from?

I don't think I have a specific place where I go to look for a title since it's different for every story. Sometimes, I might pick a song lyric/title that appears fitting. Others, I might figure it out from the preliminary plot summary or the core concept bouncing around my head. I do prefer to have a title before starting the first draft, though. So I might play around with different variations or change even the one I had originally picked if I find a better one down the line 🤔
