"you know, i am far from a violent person," she starts, but the way her jaw tenses provides enough evidence to have one suspecting the contrary. "but some of the arrogant men i'm opposing lately are making murder seem like a logical solution." of course she wouldn't stretch to such measures, but irritation fills every inch of her frame. "they talk to me like i'm an idiot, like i didn't study law at harvard, like i'm nothing but a silly little girl with whimsical fantasies about a happy world." she realises she's venting then. "sorry, sorry...i'll stop. i hate taking work away from the office."

leading the younger man through his modest cottage, a small smile tracing his lips as he does so. it feels like another step in the right direction, even if archie remained uncertain of where they were heading exactly. "as you can see, it pales in comparison to your place but..." his emerald gaze trails the confines of the room they find themselves within. "it's home." after spending countless years attempting to find his way, his place. he feels as though he's finally achieved it. "would you like a drink? i've got coke, lemonade, chardonnay, fruit juice, iced coffee, normal coffee, tea..." he counts on his digits as he goes. "oh yeah and water, obviously." cue the awkward laughter. maybe he was a little nervous. it felt like another wall he'd placed around himself was being dismantled, exposing more and more of himself to the other man, terrified it'll be too much - or not attractive.
