Wolverine Worldwide Starts Junior Board
Wolverine Worldwide today announced the start of its first Junior Board – a group of 11 early-career employees chosen to bring fresh ideas, share new perspectives, and help strengthen the company’s culture of teamwork and innovation.
The Junior Board was formed after a careful interview process, looking at leadership potential, communication, problem-solving, and alignment with the company’s values. Members will meet monthly with Wolverine’s executive team and CEO to discuss key topics and provide feedback that drives positive change.
“I’m very proud of the culture we’re building at Wolverine Worldwide,” said Chris Hufnagel, President and CEO. “The Junior Board shows our commitment to developing young talent and creating a workplace where everyone feels they belong and can grow – while also preparing the next generation of leaders.”
Members represent a wide range of Wolverine brands and departments, including Merrell, Saucony, Sweaty Betty, Supply Chain, HR, Marketing, and Design.
“The Junior Board is about making sure every voice is heard,” said Chandler Alberda, Junior Board Chair. “We’re here to push bold ideas, share diverse perspectives, and help carry out the vision to Make. Every Day. Better.”
The launch of the Junior Board follows Wolverine Worldwide’s recognition as a Great Place To Work®, with 88% of U.S. employees calling it a great workplace – far above the national average. The company was also recently named to Forbes’ list of America’s Dream Employers and Best Midsize Employers, and recognized by Inspiring Workplaces as one of North America’s Most Inspiring Workplaces.
