Maria stood outside looking around the trees the sounds she was contemplating going to this treaty line Jasper spoke of to meet with the wolves; they were interesting and something she had not encountered other than real werewolves in this existence. she was watching the water clamming herself, not letting herself get attached. She paused her thoughts as she smelled the human getting closer to her. Was the human asking for her life to end so soon? “What do you want, human?” Maria smiled and turned around seeing the mousy human dark hair with bits of red in her hair and brown eyes that reminded her of home dirt soil of life. That's what she felt so long ago for Maria, happier times long since gone. “I wanted to ask you some questions. Is that alright?” Bella inched closer “Si. but do not expect me to baby you like that red-haired poor excuse for a vampire does.” Maria crossed her arms she was going to speak plain English to make sure she understood she wasn’t one much on lying sure kill to protect yourself keep things simple not lie. “So you turned Jasper? you had your own army.” Bella asked Maria to look at her. “I don’t expect you to understand or even attempt to. But my family was my coven, my sisters, my uncles. We were once human Nomad came through our village and killed many but turned many of us. We kept territory safe and for 200 years we were happy till a neighboring coven came and wiped out everything. my mate, my family in an instant it was gone.” Maria explained Bella didn’t move or breathe fear of her wrath disrespecting her was a bad idea she knew it. “I wanted my revenge and I would have it because when it happens to you and it will, that's all you have left is that rage. this whole little life you're making will never last if you're lucky you will be the one killed when they come after your coven you're not ready for that pain. Jasper tells me you still have family, human family. Have you picked out the funeral flowers yet?” Maria asked Bella looked taken back “Might as well go ahead and plan to watch them die because immortality isn’t living forever being happy, not what it feels like. It's Watching everything and everyone you love die.” Maria hummed “You think I am making the wrong choice.” Bella breathed “Oh I know you are.” Maria laughed at her then looked at the water. “But it's your choice, do whatever you like its none of my business you do whatever you like your the one that has to live and die with those choices. because sooner or later you're going to end up just like that Redhead you have got everyone out to kill. one day, next year, maybe 100 years from now, someone is going to kill your mate and you're going to want revenge because that’s what this life is pain.” Maria said looking over into her welled-up eyes with tears. “Don’t let her fool you, there are good moments too.” Jasper walked out happy and go lucky skip in his step. “Callete Jasper.” Maria spat rolled her eyes Bella smiled seeing a spark between them. “If Maria Hadn’t changed me I would have died in a war filled with bigotry and hate would have most likely followed in line behind them if I had lived. Instead, I got to follow a woman to war to avenge her family got a second chance. sometimes we all need a second chance.” Jasper smiled “Oh don’t start with that emotional cagar.” she rolled her eyes “Oh come now, Maria.” Jasper taunted her and glared at him then Maria smelled something and looked at Jasper “You didn’t.” she growled “I did.” he bit his lip smiling. “MARIA!” She heard bellowed Maria start cursing under her breath then instinct took over as she felt him coming to engulf her in a hug one swift motion Maria knocked his legs out from under him and pinned him down with her boot. “Peter.” Maria sighed “Oh Beautiful Maria! Together again oh how I have countered the hours how I have missed you so gorgeous oh look a human is this the human that we are spouse to be protecting not great not bad I would hit that.” Peter smiled “Ah Down.” another small vampire blonde short hair. “See when I told Jasper to kill you I was trying to save you from this still happy to be mated to this pig Lottie.” Maria spat “Time will tell.” Charlotte sighed, yanking Peter up and smacking his arm. “Behave.” she snapped “ouch woman...hit me harder I like it,” Charlotte growled and breathed ready to choke him. She was wringing her hands together breathing then she breathed. You could see clams wash over her face as she looked at Jasper with a thankful gaze. “Bella, this is my brother Peter and his Mate Charlotte.” Jasper said, “Nice to meet you.” Bella smiled, “She does smell delicious.” Peter smiled and Maria sighed “Look, the family is all back together again!” Peter sang and hugged Maria's shoulders “If you don’t let me go I am going to break you.” Maria sighed “Awe, I missed you too.” Peter grinned “Now if we can get Maria and Major back together it will be.” Charlotte whispered, “I am working on it.” Peter whispered,” We can hear you two.” Maria rolled her eyes. “Really? I thought you went deaf in your old age.” Peter smiled. “Still sure you want to be a vampire you get to deal with idiots like this for 200 years.” Maria shook her head “I am going for a hunt.” Maria started walking “Ew we can all go together like old times.” Peter smiled. Maria breathed “Peter sometimes I look at you and wonder why I created you.” Maria breathed and walked away. “That’s just mean! you know you need me!” Peter called out
