this one definitely did things to my heart :"") loved the visuals of hockeyplayer!mingyu x figureskater!wonwoo, the development of their enemies(?)-to-friends-to-lovers arc, how their relationship remained strong and steady throughout despite being met with various obstacles and external pressures along the way, how Mingyu rekindled Wonwoo's love for skating not once but twice, just them being a healthy and supportive couple - a beautiful read!

archer!seokmin x weightlifter!mingyu in a college au - really liked the vibes and writing in this fic :) seokgyu fics are rare and i feel like it's bc their dynamics on-camera mostly revolve around teasing/bickering it's hard to picture anything else, but the slow-burn element brought smth fresh and new to their dynamics and it was such an enjoyable read!

drabble idea: woncheol friend to lover: “practice on me”

I got you. I don't know where the archery bit came from I just wanted it there but have wonwoo pining for his hot, archery club leader sunbae.

Seungcheol’s eyes light up when he sees Wonwoo. He makes his way through the crowd and Wonwoo feels him say happy birthday more than he hears his voice. His stomach does the funny flip thing it always does around Seungcheol, but especially when Seungcheol’s mouth presses firm against his, coaxing Wonwoo’s lips to open for him. To think that it’s been five years since they had their first kiss.

It went somewhat like this:

“So,” Seungcheol threw an arm around Wonwoo, “Jeonghannie says you’re planning to kiss your crush at midnight!”

God damn Yoon Jeonghan, Wonwoo cursed in his head. Hyung or not, Wonwoo resolved to kill him. He never said anything of the sort, and he was sure Jeonghan only said that to Seungcheol because he knew Wonwoo wanted to kiss him.

He removed Seungcheol’s arm from his shoulders. “I’m not.”

“Oh, Wonwoo-ya,” Seungcheol pouted. “Why don’t you want to confide in me? I’m hurt you went to Jeonghannie and not me.”

“I didn’t go to Jeonghan-hyung.” 

The pout intensified. Wonwoo tried his best not to give in, sweat beading at his temple from the concentration. “Well, in any case, I think it’s my duty as a good sunbae to help you prepare.”

Oh, no.

His arm was around Wonwoo again. Wonwoo knew Seungcheol had never gone a day without practising archery since he was five—but did all those trainings have to give him all these muscles? 

“Practice on me, come on.”

This time, when Wonwoo attempted to move his arm away, Seungcheol resisted. Power-wise, Wonwoo was fighting a losing battle. “Are you drunk?”

Seungcheol shook his head fervently. “I had one can of beer,” he said. “Don’t you want it to be perfect? The one at midnight.”

He’d like to blame what he did next on the alcohol, but the truth was far from that. Despite Soonyoung’s best effort to get him hammered for his first birthday party with university friends, Wonwoo hadn’t had a drop. 

One moment, Wonwoo was looking into Seungcheol’s bright eyes and remembering the mornings they spent at the range, Seungcheol fixing his posture while standing close enough his breath would fan over Wonwoo’s nape. The next? 

He was kissing Seungcheol. 

Seungcheol’s draw fingers found his pulse point, as though Wonwoo were an arrow, caressed reverently before let loose on a target. 

This is perfect, Wonwoo thought. This is already perfect. 

“Oh,” Seungcheol said when they parted. His fingers came up to his lips. “I don’t think you need the practice after all.”

“That good?” 

He snapped out of it quickly. “Don’t be smug.”

“Will you wait for the real thing, then?”

Seungcheol’s expression closed off. “Why would I watch you kiss another person?”

So much for not perpetuating the dense athlete stereotypes. “Hyung, seriously?”

Gaze sliding back to Wonwoo, Seungcheol stared at him in pure incomprehension for 30 seconds before the lightbulb moment came.

“Wow,” Seungcheol grinned and Wonwoo wanted to kiss his perfect teeth. “No way! You like me. Jeon Wonwoo likes me.”

“So?”

Seungcheol gave it a moment’s thought before he said, “The answer’s still no, sorry.” 

Shit. Okay. Wonwoo made a gamble, and it didn’t pay off. Morning practices would be awkward for a week or two, sure, but they’d forget about tonight soon enough. These things happened sometimes. Perfect a release and the arrow would still go out of range. 

But then Seungcheol’s fingers guided his chin, and he was leaning down to catch Wonwoo’s eyes again. “I just don’t think I can wait that long for an encore.”

“You jerk,” he hissed, but he pulled Seungcheol in for another kiss. 

“What are you thinking about?” 27-year-old Seungcheol mouths at him, his draw fingers tapping Wonwoo’s cheek. 

Still with the same callouses Wonwoo recognised. Still the same person. Still the same love.

“You,” he answers.
