Hey. I'm quite confused now and Idk whom to ask and not sound like a dumb person. I really like Jikook..like really like them. But Jimin has called him dongsaeng..couple of times. I'm new to BTS and so new to Jikook. So what's the deal with calling him little brother?

You did not say which specific instances you are referring to when Jimin has called Jungkook dongsaeng but here is a brief explanation about that word:

“Dongsaeng” is a gender-neutral term that refers to someone who is younger than you in age. It isn’t strictly to be used for familial relationships the way “남동생/namdongsaeng” (little brother) or “여동생/yeodongsaeng” (little sister) might be. “Dongsaeng” is a classification with familial connotations to indicate closeness. One of the things that is often lost in translations is the tone of voice and the context. Most K-Army will say, when Jimin has referred to JK as his dongsaeng, Jimin does not mean it as if JK is literally his brother. My recommendation is to not get hung up on that because there is 9 years worth of content (please watch original content, not fan-edited videos that put a spin on stuff) to see the context of their relationship.

yes they're two different persons atleast to fans . One is a friend in normal real life and other is a bandmate who fans are familiar with.

Such a small detail but has a bigg meaning to Jimin . They're the only real friends in BTS group 🤗

Honestly, it already feels a bit silly to have to show "proof" and explain over and over again that dongsaeng doesn't exactly mean younger BROTHER. People, the antis more specifically tkkrs will believe only what they want to believe. What is convenient for them to believe and no one will change that.

And now that I remember, I banned this topic on my blog and said I will not talk about it anymore so, I will not talk about it anymore. If people don't want to believe the explanations of KOREAN people they will definitely not believe what a non-Korean person says.
