☽ “be as harsh as truth, and as uncompromising as justice.”
when god cast out lucifer, was there not revenge by the devil? when zeus dismissed each sired child, was there not war? was karna not left without mother and grieving? spawn left to thrive or die in the wake of abandonment, that is the crux of stories, is it not? and so what of libby? this tale is tired, woven again and again. libby, too, is exhausted. their exposition depresses her and promises no happiness, just as the stories before them. she lacks special treatment.
except what concerns @wonedeus. the woman stands as gracefully mighty as the day libby first met her. in fact, the fae cannot recall a moment that diana was anything less than incredible. even now, it irritates her, but what vexes the witch has at least curdled in fondness lately. libby huffs a laugh that hurts less and less, its use more frequent in the presence of the matriarch. those jade - hued eyes spark with something dangerous though. ❝ i’m not like you. ❞ a wound, a wound. it pierces her, too. ❝ i don’t see you in the mirror. i see her. and she’s never been good like you. i can’t be good like you. but i can be inevitable. just don’t measure my justice against yours. ❞
