((you write Korekiyo so well, most of the Kork portrayals I see is creepy seesaw man while your Kork is just so well-written. I love it! ))
//Thank you very much! ^^
//Like with Tenko, I want to focus more on what I feel are the more important and less shock value-y parts of him. Like with Tenko, he is quite intelligent and has much more depth to his character as an anthropologist, but it seems like most people focus on the incest, him being a serial killer, and the infamous seesaw effect. All of which I think, while not completely unwarranted in the context of the story, felt tasteless and like a bit of a shocking swerve. Then again, it’s kind of a recurring problem with DR’s third chapters.
//I didn’t want to just get rid of all that, of course. Instead, I toned him down to just being obsessive over his sister, who was his only family but definitely didn’t treat him well, and I stuck with him having that status as a serial killer for the purpose of him getting a chance to redeem himself. If Maki and Ryoma got a chance, he should as well.
//I don’t like just throwing ideas out. I try to see if there’s anything that can be done with them and if they can be explored or expanded on to give them more meaning and depth.
