it’s  a  quarter  till  two  am  !           he  should  definitely  not  be  here.        most  of  his  friends  have  already  jumped  ship  for  the  night  -----   after  all  ,  it  was  midterm  exam  week  &&  most  people  were  exhausted.         DRINKING  LATE  INTO  THE  NIGHT  WASN’T  WISE  ------  but  he’d  already  failed  two  exams.          he’d  gotten  off  the  phone  with  sharpay  &  his  parents  around  ten  ,  &&  wound  up  here  ,   downing  fruity  cocktails  late  into  the  night.        

he  sees  someone  sit  beside  him  &  quickly  looks  over  ,  the  hair  catching  him  off  guard  ---------------------------------------          ❛    CHAD  ?    ❜             he  can’t  help  but  gawk  at  him  ;  why  the  hell  was  chad  in  new  york  ?       at  the  one  gay  bar  ryan  hung  out  at  ?         HOW  DID  HE  FIND  HIM  ?         honestly  ,  he’s  too  drunk  to  really  wrap  his  head  around  it.

“   I   don't   have   to   pretend!   I   don't   give   a   damn.   ”   while   sharpay's   word   implies   something,   her   tone   says   something   completely   on   the   contrary.   it   was   stupid,   she   shouldn't   care   that   her   brother   was   charming   kelsi   nielsen.   or   that   she   was   reprocicating   all   of   it.   “   I   mean,   this   will   soon   enough   end.   ryan   can't   keep   this   little   play   forever.   ”   either   because   he   will   feel   bad   about   using   the   playmaker   or   he   will   see   how   its   actually   bothering   danforth.   either   way,   this   will   have   to   end.

HE’S  CURLED  UP  AGAINST  CHAD  ,  wrapped  up  in  the  others  hoodie  &&  nothing  else.      they  were  both  barely  awake  -----  exhausted  &  comfortable.           his  blue  eyes  flutter  open  as  he  hears  chad  speak  ,  nearly  having  missed  it  from  his  dozing.       as  he  registers  what  he  says  ,  a  lazy  ,  wide  smile  curves  his  lips.         he  brings  one  hand  up  ,  cupping  his  cheek  so  he  can  lean  up  &  kiss  him  soft  &  slow.        ❛   look  in  the  mirror  ,  chad.   ❜
