the   mention   of   kelsi   makes   sharpay   turn   sour   again.   “   care?   have   you   seem   the   way   that   girl   dresses   herself?   why   would   you   care   about   what   kelsi   nielsen   thinks?   ”   she   finishes   off   with   a   laugh,   playing   off   her   discontent   of   ryan   and   kelsi   as   her   thinking   less   of   the   latter.

HE’S  MESSED  WITH  HIS  CONFIDENCE.      it  was  something  ryan  already  had  issues  with  ----  jesse  st.  james  didn’t  help.           still  ;  he’s  used  to  sharpay.         so   ,  he  sucks  in  a  deep  breath  to  ground  himself  &  gets  back  to  work  ,  doing  a  perfect  example  across  the  stage.

jesse  sits  down  in  front  of  ryan  without  prompt,  hanging  his  bag  on  the  chair  next  to  him.  “  oh,  so  you’re  doing  charity  work  now  ??  juliard  will  certainly  like  that.  “

“No one that I know of. I had a hangover once. That was a bad day.” Sheila doesn’t say that the reason she’s only had one hangover is because she doesn’t get drunk often. She sips her drink instead.

“  well,  i  want  to  help.  let  me.  i’m  sorry  i’ve  been  an  ass,  i’m  just  thrown  off.  “  chad  doesn’t  know  how  to  explain  it,  that  seeing  ryan  again  has  rocked  his  world  view.  he  stuffed  his  hands  in  his  pockets,  looking  down.  “  i  don’t  know  what  i’m  feeling  &  i’m  taking  it  out  on  you. “  it’s  an  admission  of  feelings,  it  still  makes  him  squeamish.  even  if  it’s  ryan.  

WHAT’S  HE  SUPPOSED  TO  SAY   ?         he  doesn’t  know  how  to  make  this  better  -----  doesn’t  want  to  drag  chad  down  when  obviously  his  focus  should  be  on  himself.       he  tries  to  distract  himself  by  grabbing  some  medicine  to  fight  off  his  hang  over.          he  swallows  it  down  ,  then  wipes  his  face  ----   though  he  can’t  hide  how  puffy  his  eyes  look  from  crying.             he  sighs  and  moves  out  of  the  bathroom  ,  sitting  on  the  end  of  his  bed.         ❛    chad    . . .     you  being  here  is  both  amazing  &  horrible.      ❜
