Working (slowly) on a piece that I want to render because yes Deyaenus was at the battle for Undercity with his trusty steed Woodsworth. He didn’t want to BE there but just happened to have been caught in the fray. I have to force myself to work these types of pieces more as practice - how else to get better

And yes that is a barrel butt armor

More Woodsworth sketches! little foal guy and adolescent, he likes to run!

He was born in a lumber mill near Hearthglen where he was sent to various farms around the area to work in the fields as a beast of burden. His real name is unknown as when Deyaenus purchased him there was a misunderstanding between the human trader and the blood elf when asked what was the mule’s name - the human understood the question as “what type of mule is it?” and answered as what it was, a ‘woods worth’ mule.

I came up with the name woods worth for the type of beast of burden that work in lumber camps as a generic term for the kind of work they are best at. The best animals are only as good as their ‘woods worth’ - or, how much lumber they can pull!

So here’s A Thought™

I figured the reclusive Nightborne probably never saw a donkey or mule in their life, have no idea of the stigma and poor association of these animals as lowly beasts of burden. All they see is that they are glorious, magnificent creatures because they have long ears - and so if having long ears is a sign of racial superiority (as many elves likely believe) then clearly this animal is of equal virtue.

and so we see Deyaenus’ mule, Woodsworth, enjoying some fancy ear wear deserving of such beauty - plus a whole lot of pets and treats!
