I got a few extra hands helping me out on the balcony today! Pretty close to finishing. Nothing like giving old wood new life with a little love and care. Kids came around to help me with sanding and this little lizard tested the structural integrity for us. POP Han Solo in Carbonite. I decided to seal my POP Han Solo in Carbonite, so I made a wood frame, cut off Han’s arms and re-glued them, then used a hot glue gun to tilt his head. I also used a rotary tool to give him a mouth and used puff paint to give him eyebrows and added drool coming out of his mouth. I added layers of glue over a month to let it dry. Painted him Hammered Silver.

Los materiales han dejado de ser los oficiales. Todo vale, porque con todo entran en relación directa. La obra es manufactura que les explicará el mundo, la precariedad de la percepción y el sentido de la existencia, los restos míticos, las historias mal contadas. Poesía del bricolage que habla con las cosas y mediante las cosas. La materia se expresa, todo habla: el agua, el fuego, la tierra, el aire, los materiales que ayudan al hombre a sobrevivir, los fardos de heno, la estopa, el carbón, así como también los modernos, la electricidad, el neón.
