Booking, check-in, boarding and off we go from Thailand to Nepal. Perhaps we should have informed ourselves in advance about the current temperatures in the Himalayas. Spoiled by the Thai sun, we enter the plane to Kathmandu with short pants, a T-shirt and flip flops. With short clothing, we wonder why all other passengers are wrapped so warm. The cold air conditioning in the airplane should be the reason. Suddenly, the passengers in the row behind us smile and we notice that slightly different temperatures prevail in Nepal. Oops! Well, how could anyone know...?
First time shopping for warm clothing in Kathmandu and what do we find there? Wonderfully fluffy warm woolen jackets. It was perfect since we each took identical ones with us. After two days of testing, it was clear to us that we needed it in our virblatt alternative clothes product range. But, of course, not off the shelf, but rather in a unique virblatt design. Besides the success of the company, the employees are the main focus for them. You can immediately tell when you enter the factory. The staff smile, the building is flooded with daylight and lounges which offer to the staff a certain standard that you will unfortunately rarely find in Nepal. A family-run company, which does not only insure a fair remuneration of the employees, but can also boast of it.
