        another meal taken in silence on her part  ---  silent protest. she hasn’t been here long,  &  tries but fails to focus on that rather than the fact that she’s been sent to be here forever. part of her still dreams that one day soon her father will write, tell her and her ‘future family’ it’s all been a big mistake. there isn’t long until this is all final, though. with each day that passes she grows more restless, more bitter and sullen. misses her home more,  &  the people she knows and loves who she’s left behind. chewing slowly on another small bite of her food, she makes the mistake of glancing across the table at the other. her gaze moves quickly away in an eyeroll.
