the audience reception of ikaris’ character really proved that complex characters and more realistic portrayals of manipulation and emotional struggle is lost on so many people. im not trying to say im superior or anything, but ajak literally admitted that she led ikaris down the wrong path and you guys still dont get it. to him, he had no other choice. fuck, even sersi saw how much he was hurting by the end of the movie. he literally killed himself. what isnt clicking??
