reading your tags on the big bang post I realized (I don't know if this is a popular opinion): 5 dollars is absolutely my favorite fic of yours.
you know what’s weird? i feel like that’s true. or at least that that’s the one fic that people will say, later on, hey it’s my favorite. and i’m not sure why! maybe because it’s the shortest chaptered fic that also feels complete. it’s a much more...approachable word count, and doesn’t have that half-baked feel that scene three, take two does (because that was a post-break-up fic that didn’t even flash back to their initial relationship or break-up, which gives the reader nothing to work with).
but hey, i’m glad you like it and i really appreciate you letting me know. it was written under much different conditions compared to most of my other fics, and required a lot less research from me because i was basically writing my office and my city and changing the names. and who knows, maybe that somehow translated in a truly different kind of story that stuck with people. thanks for being one of those people.
