So. The location I’m at was closed for a month due to COVID. We are still limited hours. But what they don’t tell the public is that the payroll has been cut so drastically to make up for the losses from the closures.
I’m sure it’s happening in other companies too...
I normally have a team that works under me consisting of 2 full timers and 2 part timers. Well, my entire team has basically been dispersed to help the rest of the store while I manage the operations of my shop by myself. They can help me take orders... but I have been producing, receiving, supply ordering, etc. BY MYSELF. For a month already...
I don’t know how long they’re gonna keep this up. There’s gonna be a line that I’m gonna cross soon in which I cannot get the orders produced on time... unless I have my team.
And I’m very worried they are gonna drag this out so long that I’m going to have to re-train my whole team how to produce the orders...
And we are already almost in July! When October November rolls around it’s gonna be impossible...
I’m also worried that they’ve limited payroll so much that they are gonna expect me to run everything by myself permanently...
I feel like I need options. Because I’m being run ragged and I don’t know how much I can take...
