So I work in the client care center for a car dealership. This mostly means that when you submit a lead wondering how much your car is worth on Autotrader.com or Kelly Blue Book, or submit any info to a website like Cars.com or Carguru for instance that I'm one of those people who will call you to get you to come in and either sell or trade in your car, or to buy a car, and I sincerely hope buy because I get paid off of that.
That being said, I have some pet peeves:
People who give a wrong number so I end up calling some poor soul who didn't ask for this and I wind up sometimes being screamed at.
People who ignore my phone calls, texts, and emails and then get mad at me when they do eventually pick up.
People who hang up on me as soon as I introduce myself.
People who set an appointment, never show up, and then ignore all of my attempts to contact them so I can find out why and either reschedule them or dead code them in the system.
People who contact me looking for our best price so they can try to screw over another dealership and waste my time.
People who ask for photos, all of this information, waste my time all fucking day, then refuse to come in because they live 100+ miles away.
What it boils down to is when these people are trying to contact you, if you aren't interested please communicate with them that you aren't interested as soon as possible. If you need to cancel, please fucking communicate with them on whether or not you would even like to reschedule or if you bought elsewhere. Be an adult. Treat us with respect. It is what you would want if you were in my position. If I can't get back to you right away, please understand that there is often only 1-4 people in my office covering 3 different locations on any given day and we have over 400 people to contact between us. We can't get to everyone.
